Nice result, I had my bets on with Sky, who were paying 8 places, still nowhere near!

I had an each way bet on Rose which was looking good for a while, but before yesterdays round I put a couple of £ on Westwood at 150-1. When he chipped in for an eagle near the end I cashed out to make enough to cover my losing football, grand national and masters bets over the weekend. Thank You Lee.

That's a great bet. I sat with a few friends before the leaders went out yesterday and we studied each player looking for someone who might have the b*lls to post a great score, not a single one of us went near Willett or did anything other than dismiss him totally.

I've stuck all my WBA winnings on us to beat Palace, if it comes in all eighty odd quid goes on the final and for that I would expect at least 4/1 if it's against Utd.

That would be my holiday beer kitty sorted .... wish me luck.

Had a free bet from Skybet and it went on:

    Spurs V Chelsea
    Both teams to score
    14+ corners
60+ Booking Points (Spurs got this by themselves!)

    £80!

Out of interest I know you could get 5000/1 on Leicster to win the league and the bookies are saying how much they had to pay out, but I assume this is good news for the bookies as the big serious money would be on the big four and they would have "filled their boots"

The main problem for the bookies wasn't so much the odd Leicester fan putting on their annual fiver at those odds. The real losses for the bookies was the fact that they were slow to react to Leicester's progress and their liabilities on them because too many odds compilers (like the media pundits) refused to believe they could actually do it. Throughout October and November the odds were still too high and were very good value for money for hefty each way bets.
It wasn't until Leicester beat Manchester city in February that they became the favourites to win.

Otter, you'll know better than me, but I'd put my house on the line to say that the bookies did OK out of Leicester winning the title.

Thanks for explaining that, i see what you mean now and why the bookies may have taken a hit, it was not until they beat City that I thought they had a chance, then I wrote them off again once they lost to Arsenal in the fashion they did.

It was probably the same excuse that the odds compilers gave to their executives when they refused to drop the odds to more realistic odds during the autumn. The bookies all took a big hit, but as I said it wasn't so much the £10 / £5 here and there from Leicester fans getting 5000/1 that was in the press; the hits were taken when more wily or seasoned gamblers were putting on £500+ when they were still 200/1 into November.

Bookies will have been fine overall though surely because the ante-post book must have made out like a bandit. Every football division accumulator down the pan, plus big wedges on Chelsea/Man City etc. Also they are going to do well next season when punters stick all sorts of nonsense on Stoke/Swansea to win the title. Not sure I can see many bookies taking £500 on a 200-1 shot either given what risk averse wimps they are!???

Been taking a look at the Euro 2016 match odds, some VERY tasty odds in there. Thinking of depositing £150-£200 and doing a £10 stake on each game...

A lot of the bookies were as smug as the pundits by thinking that Leicester wouldn't maintain their position, let alone actually win the thing. Once it was clear Leicester weren't going away the bookies were no longer in a position to hedge their liabilities with other bookies as they all had the same problem, the only way they could offset some of the liability would have been to have offered very competitive odds on the other teams just behind Leicester. Also the regular Leicester fans who put on their £5-£10 in the summer at 5000/1 who couldn't cope with the thought of getting nothing had Leicester finished 2nd did cash out was music to the ears of the bookies as it lowered the liabilities by some way.

I think that now that a team has a chance of qualifying coming 3rd out of a group of 4 the there will be loads of draws in the group stages. Will do loads of lucky 15s with 4 draws with bet365, if only one comes in you get double your odds, if and only need one lot of lucky 15 4 draws to come in and usually get about 400/1, if you get 3 out of 4 about 100/1 and 2 out of 4 about 20/1, it a good bet as you usually get something back and to play with something and £15 bet for 4 matches

Last day of the season in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 this weekend - goals galore usually with teams trying out new players, and most playing with freedom.

Going for lucky dip BTTS - hit 10 games or so and you're looking at 200/1 +

So a few questions on using more than one bookie:

    1. Is it worth opening up multiple betting apps to get the entry bonuses? I only have Bet365 right now and think that it's good for me to keep it in one place so I can keep track on the few small bets I make, but see these bonus odds offers and feel like I'm missing out.

    2. Once I get the new apps and entry bonuses, I guess I have to fulfill a certain criteria before they let me remove any "won" funds, like place a certain amount more, and each one will be different?

    3. If, I decide to cancel after fulfilling any criteria, is it easy to close down an account? Can I open a new account with the same details again at another time and get new entry bonuses - and if so what is the standard specified amount of time before your old account is disregarded (if ever!)?

    4. Does anyone use different cards/email addresses to open multiple accounts with the same bookies to get more entry bonuses?

    5. Anyone used that betstars spin and bet function - any good or just a scam?

Most of these could probably be found out by reading the small print, but easier to just ask some people with experience on here.

I go on odds checker to get the best odds, I have accounts with most of them on threre, a few have closed my accounts as I won money off of them, I once lost £500 because I did not read the small print and did not do what was requested and they were not members of ibas, I find bet365 to be the best online bookies with the best genuine offers, then followed by betvictor, I do bet a hell of a lot so use most accounts, you will be amazed how much odds can vary, the bookies are onto shutting down account and opening them again, they will know, otter is usually on the ball and knows his stuff and offers great advice, so he may be better to reply. If you don't bet much I would open a couple of online accounts as easier to keep track, but bet365 are all around the best I reckon

I don't know a great deal about company procedures regarding joining up. But here goes:

    1. Really for the seasoned gamblers on here to answer; if you feel that you are missing out on a deal with your gas and electric, your mobile phone or your TV package you can change (provided you're not within a minimum term), same sort of applies here if there's a signing up offer then go for it.

    2. Read the T&Cs.

    3. You can close an account at any time but the T&Cs probably stipulate that if you close and open a new one that you won't be entitled for new bonuses.

    4. You will be most likely to be breaking the T&Cs and therefore you will give them good reason to not honour bonuses and closing accounts and banned. But rest assured that you are probably not the first person to think of it so these companies will have internal procedures to prevent it from happening.

    5. Can't answer it as I've not heard of it. However as they are based on the Isle of Man, where the gaming rules are strictly adhered to I suspect that this is more of a gimmick than a scam.

    1) Definitely, when I was gambling massively, I used to use Skrill to move my money around (until I had enough in all my accounts to stake comfortably, without needing to move it around). It's a bit like Paypal and all the bookies take it. It's quicker to withdraw to a Skrill wallet than straight to your bank account which is ideal if you want to keep the gambling money separate from your actual money.

    2) Yup, the "standard" rollover amount is staking 3x the winnings. Bet365s bonuses are the best though, I went through 5 Bet365 accounts depositing £200 in all but the first account, which they'd match (essentially doubling my money)

    3) It's very easy to close down an account (it has to be by law or they'd be under a lot of pressure). Re-opening one shouldn't be that hard either, but you will definitely forfeit any bonuses.

    4) As mentioned above, i've had 5 bet365 accounts, also 2 William Hill accounts, 2 BetVictor accounts, the rest somehow survived. Different cards/email addresses don't really work too well, you need completely new information (different name/address/card/IP address and ideally a fresh machine to clear the cookies/any info they drop onto your PC/device), and even then you might still get shut down early. My first Bet365 account I deposited £20, and I got up to about £2300 before they shut down my account. The other 4 were shut down before they even hit the £1300 mark (although my behaviour of depositing £200 and then staking highly probably contributed to that), despite completely re-imaging my machine (aka wiping it clean and then re-installing everything) and using a VPN to get a new IP address for each account. My record from account registration to account being closed was 6 hours, so they're pretty hot on such things.

    5) No idea i'm afraid.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I think I may try just another one for now to see how I get on. Maybe Skybet as would tie in to the super 6 and Channel 4 Pick 6 that I do for fun quite often.

I definitely don't want to be getting to the point where I'm having to keep spreadsheets open to track my betting and shifting money around accounts as my life is hard enough already!

I only really do it for a bit of fun and my bets are minimal to say the least, but when you see things like 12-1 on a Man City win v Villa for new customers only it's always a tempter, as I'm sure they are all well aware!

If you open multiple accounts with the same bookies they will know and will confiscate any winnings you try to withdraw. It's also fraud and you can be prosecuted, (though unlikely). Closing accounts and opening new ones is also a no no. They're not daft. If you do any bonuses regarding the horses, (and win), you will lose your account 10 times quicker than sticking to football. Best bookies for bonuses are Bet365, William Hill and Paddy Power. However they are all sharks and NOT to be trusted.

If you dare to win with paddy power they send you a lovely email telling you that bonuses no longer apply to you even if it's says so on their website, send you notifications, advertise on the radio and send you emails, never had any bonus from William hill, the matched free Inplay on big football games is excellent value, and don't exclude you from it if you dare to win. I have won more from bet 365 and they have never withdrawn me from bonuses or restricted me.

I was good with Bet365 until I started doing their horse 4/1 offer regularly, then it went pear shaped.

I stay away from horses apart from the 3 or 4 big meetings during the year, when you said pear shaped do you mean you lost loads or won and they restricted you or withdrew the offers?
