In a nutshell, the problem of selfishness in our country and possibly the world.

 

Needles to say he got strips torn off him by the majority of people, so it’s not all bad, to the point he came back with this bizarre post, I’m allowed to moan about them because I’ve used them?

 

Isn’t he saying that he’s not just having a go at the emergency services, given that they helped him?

 

Maybe, I didn’t really get the relevance of it either way.

 

It’s certainly not clearly worded…

 

He needed to say they rushed me into hospital for my massive prostate, but even then I asked them to keep it down for the sake of the neighbours. My prostate could surely wait another 5 minutes for the sake of a good night’s sleep for all.

 

I have really tried not to be pedantic but have failed.....

I believe Jan 1st 2001 was the first day of the century. The century running from 1/1/2001 to 31/12/2100

Not saying I agree but I believe that is how those who make such rules have made it.

So the year 2000 is the last year in the 20th century.....hmmmm i guess there is some logic to that....?? However did the First century AC (as opposed to BC) start Jan 0000 or Jan 0001 ? If the first century AC started Jan 0000 rather than Jan 0001 then surely the 21st century must have started 1/1/2000 rather than 1/1/2001.

Reminds me of one of the mums on my son's team who uses Facebook to scream to the world how happy she is and how much fun she's having after her husband left her for a busty younger version. You can almost feel the tears hitting the screen when you see the filtered photos of her and a friend holding a bottle of prosecco in one hand, whilst doing peace signs and sticking their tongues out.

Indeed. However, as we are no longer allowed to use Latin, and the prioritising of a Christian God is thought problematic, “AD” has fallen out of favour.
