Not to mention that the 'score poll' is actually a result pole. And no sniff of a Micah Hyde option neither.
Wow Alamy really like to let you know "they" own the copyright of images don't they. Surely a single watermark at the bottom or top is enough rather than plaster their brand name all over the image. I do know they sell them with the watermark removed but the point stands.
We certainly looked after our new Filbert of the North correspondent, @Mike Graham and his Ewood chums, with our Deepdale demolition of "the Nobbers" as they lovingly refer to their near neighbours. To meet Skyla's further requirement how about marketing this cheese harder in the Blackburn area... Sold by Pickles of Preston, it's their Garstang Blue. In a pickle, absolutely 'smoked' in the second half and feeling blue by the end; seems to fit the bill!
To be fair, and I say this as a Burnley fan, they're good lads on BRFCS. I post on their Forum occasionally, and last November, they invited me to " kick off " their match preview thread. As Burnley went on to win 3-0 in a fairly one-sided game ( for a derby ), I was not invited to repeat the exercise for the return fixture at Ewood Park, where we clinched the Championship title, with a 0-1 win ... Blackburn v Burnley is one of the oldest League " derbies " in World football, having first been played in the inaugural 1888-89 Football League season !!
Born in Berkhamsted actually, but moved away at 4 with Dad's work ... by a circular route, ended up in Clitheroe, East Lancashire. I'm 60, and my oldest friend is a guy called Bob Furlong, who with his son Jack, are season ticket holders at Vicarage Road !!
Brighton vs Crystal Palarse Derby makes no sense to me and still doesn't. They are not exactly close in geological terms to most "derby games". Although many people do now class Liverpool vs Manure a proper 'derby' regardless of their actual rivals being Everton and Man City. However in spouting all that nonsense, some of our fanbase still hate Bournemouth (and there are valid reasons why).
Bought some in Booths yesterday (the upmarket Northern version of Waitrose but better). You know a good cheese for a Watford fan.
Really wanted to study it to be fair. History of the earth, rocks and fossils obviously really interest me. However technological science drew me towards that path instead. However, I do study the earth at least in some aspects now in my job, granted it's not to the bare level of how rocks are formed etc. but I still learn a lot so in a sense the best of both worlds. I do have a lot of respect for people who study Geology.
I know the Booths near me (I've moved from West Bridgford to Lancs/Yorks border now) is selling this seasonal Belgian gem... 10% alcohol...naughty but nice!
I checked at about 10 this morning, assuming that Chesterfield sell all their 4,000 tickets, then as it stood at that time would give a gate just short of 16,000 but of course there is still a good while to go for more sales. Also of course, there won't be season ticket no shows so should be a good turnout. bought my ticket yesterday evening. Oops wrong thread.
Such as VI revived my interest in this club, I even dreamed about this match last night. The match took place in a forest, Hoedt got sent off in the first 5 minutes for 2 quick yellow cards (ref had a stinker), and for some reason I was playing. Despite having 10 men and an overweight accountant up front we kept it to 0-0 till the 85th minute when I woke up. Wouldn't be too unhappy with that tomorrow.
Oops, this is what can happen when one keeps looking at different threads. Thanks for pointing that out.
