The fact that Bayo stayed on the bench so long tells you everything you need to know. Thrown on as a last resort, he impressively didn't have a single touch and contested three aerial duals winning none.
That is absolutely shocking. At the very least he needs to be able to 'shake things up' as a late sub
Hmmm, I was willing to cut him a bit of slack thinking maybe it was just a case of not getting him in the game enough, but that is damning! I don't think I heard his name on comms once he came onto the pitch!
I'm being very harsh on him today, he only had 10 minutes and we'd imploded by then. But he is 100% gash.
Really delighted to see him score tonight when it mattered most. Not the most gifted player clearly but his career thus far shows that if you give him minutes he’ll give you goals. We all have issues with Bayat, but Bayo can still prove a hit in spite of that and I feel like many have been taking their Bayat frustrations out on poor Vakoun.
Can't argue with his positioning and finishing for the goal, and at the end of the day that's what he's here to do. I do see a bit of potential but he's got to get stronger, and get used to the step up in quality. May not happen overnight. Trust in Mogi.
Missed a decent chance with a header, miss controlled a could but did what he’s paid to do and score a goal. Fair play to him
Hilarious that two of the most criticised players at the moment (Bayo and Gaspar) combined for a late winner. Having said that, I thought heading was supposed to be a strength of his, but when he had an opportunity a couple of yards out he headed it literally into the floor.
****ed up his heading chance tonight, but actually took his winning goal very well, hopefully he has a lot more to come.
His smile is amazing. He should gain a lot of confidence from that because I was starting to feel embarrassed for him after that "header". Thanks for a brilliant end to a special day in our history. Long may we stay at Vicarage Road. This is our home.
They will be giving him a mention in 100 years time, when they celebrate 200 years at Vicarage Road, that is for sure. BTW, wasn't it great to see Stewart Scullion. And others of course, but Scull was always one of my all time favourites.
Good finish, good positioning, happy for the 3 points. But I’m still dying on the hill of how bad he is. Until the winner, it was a poor cameo.
Very generous to credit Gaspar with combining, given he scuffed what would have been at best, a very hopeful shot, and totally overlooked Bayo in a decent position.
A classic of the genre, doesn't really get involved in build-up play, but he does get in really good areas. Not the best finisher, but if you don't buy a ticket, you don't win the raffle, and he buys lots of tickets!
