    Honestly, he's an upgrade on our midfield.

    He only needs to keep his levels for one year. He's still Slovakia's starting CM, despite his age.

    I don't like the model but if we wait for Hughes and Chalobah, we'll soon find it is 11pm on deadline day and we need a midfielder NOW. We won't be signing anyone for a decent fee until they are sold.

    I reckon the Pozzo's are gamblers and being Italian they bet their house on someone completely unfancied , a bolt from the blue. They must make millions from these transfers! :)

    Instant club legend status incoming when he smashes the Palace players on Saturday. That’s all we’ve signed him for. We showed him a video of Capoue’s excellent ball winning challenge on Zaha in the meeting, and simply told him, do this. He clearly responded with “where do I sign.”

    To be fair he’ll be one of our better midfielders given them the old sub par players we have on long contracts. Hopefully this is just a one year deal…….surely?

    A few senior players though. We have 31 year old Tom Cleverley and 31 year old Dan Gosling and have now added a 34 year old who plays in the same position as them!

    Tbf, while Kucka has had an impressive career, Slovakia right now are pretty crap. Seems to have had a good year even for a rubbish Parma team, but can he adapt at the age of 34? Wouldn't be too upset if he's a backup, although I'd be a bit worried if he's slated to be a starter

    If he's Gosling's replacement then fine, he sounds like he might be better than Gosling anyway. I fail to see how filling the midfield department with three players over 30 isn't blocking the pathway for Quina and Dele-Bashiru though.

    At some point he must have been a high quality player, is he fit enough to play EPL at 34 , we ll have to wait and see.

    On the basis he’s a cheap way to add some quality and experience backup to the squad, like Sancho was last season, I’m not feeling as negative as many on here about this signing
