This really is encouraging following HB's link http://www.insidespanishfootball.co...-geijo-heads-to-watford/#.UCKLml1comw.twitter I especially liked: "His professionalism and determination know no limits though. Very much a team player and always popular with fellow players." and "Equally comfortable playing as a traditional centre-forward or as a target man, with his strength and aerial presence"
I'm confused. Can anyone who's genuinely in the know confirm if he's gone to Reading or if he still might come here?
My sources suggested the deal would have been concluded any day this week, aside from thursday. So Friday it is.
Genuinely think this chap is going to cause some serious problems for opposition defenses this year. By all accounts, he sounds like the sort of striker who will thrive in this division.
I agree. The only caveat is, as others have suggested, how well he and the other loanees will stand up to a season of 46 league games plus other games.
I get what you're saying, but we actually have a pretty deep squad now. Vyrda, Beleck, Geijo, Garner and probably one more gives us plenty of options to meet each game with and also importantly, different types of players who'll play when the opposition/situation suits their own particular skill set best. I feel as though we have the depth to be able to get the loanees through a long season in this division. Not to mention, the possession game that we're seemingly adopting is a lot less demanding physically than scrapping your way to points as we have been forced to do for the last few years due to our limited resources. Keeping the ball for excess time is a lot easier than chasing wildly for 90 minutes.
Yes, Vydra and Beleck are still quite young and it'll be interesting to see if they will be impact players. Also, i'm keen to see how Garner does now under Zola's coaching, still think he deserves some slack. Geijo could be a great signing. Interesting times ahead.
I think you are right. However, I am by nature a worrier - if worrying were an olympic sport I'd be a cert for a Gold! Even I am starting to dare to think that promotion may not be that long term a project. Could happen sooner
Football Manager lists him as 6'2 and his birthday as 11/03/1982, but Wikipedia and a couple of other places list him as 6'0 and his birthday as 05/09/1982. Strange that there's confusion about a fairly well known players age.
A player with a proven goalscoring record at a similar level to the championship. Excellent signing. One or two more including a left winger and it's not looking too bad. Probably lose to Wycombe now!!!!!!!
nah meridensi confirmed on his twitter @meridensi woz gunna sine for wufford wibsiite, but noe sining fo redding webbsight . fml
Whos giving you that price? Ladbrokes only have Emu and Deeney as Watford options, both 100/1. Quite short odds imo.
Yes given we are a massive club attracting crowds of nearly 13,000 a game we should be signing proven premiership players!!
He played in 24 of Granada's 38 games last season and did not miss "most of last season" You're wrong
