Looks like a fat Van Persie, hopefully he has the same scoring ability.

Bet 365. They have Beleck as well at 66/1. I would have put a bet on Geijo if he was at 100 or more, but I don't think 33 is worth it. Pads?

skybet.com is crap the only Watford player they got to be Championship Top Goalscorer 12/13 is Troy Deeney 80/1 what a joke...
    I just put in a few £ on Sordell @ 25/1

How many goals did he score last season? Not the season before that.
Also how many clubs has he played for,if he was that good why do Udinese keep loaning him out?

Can we just remind ourselves that Udinese are a team that will be playing in the Champions League and that Granada play in the top flight of Spanish football.

moogster - having watched the youtube thingy on Beleck he reminds very much of loother, a bit clumsy but poweful -

were wfc to employ da hoofball i think Beleck would be an ok bet at 66/1 but this possession footie will it create loads of chances like what da loother needed or few chances but better opportunity to score.

on da other hand if heyho is 33/1 and he knocked in 25 goals in spain equivelant league - that too is a decent enuff price - will zoola rotate the pack or will these two be regular starters?

i had 2 squids on troy deeney as top chumpionship scorer - he will iver come back full of energy and regret and the will to play ( and he did work pretty hard last season) or he will become a loser -at 250/1 (betfiar ) it was worth a lil interest. the passing game will soot him.

I was highlighting the level as which they play, as telboy queried his lack of goals last season, 'tis all.

7 clubs. Udinese have loads of players like this that spend their time on loan at other clubs. Decent record at level similar to ours but struggles at next level up.

    Telboy is clearly an idiot.

Geijo should be a good player, was very good two years ago, has had a season in La Liga. Should hit the ground running really.

Two, according to soccerbase. But what's that got to do with you asking to be proved wrong about him missing most of last season through injury?

Why would you put a bet on sordell? He hasn't played in 8 months, He will not get passed kevin davies, NGog, afobe and this other youngster they have? You have better chance on deeney scoring more goals!

because when he palyed in Udinese there were two players of another planet before him: DiNatale and Sanches, still he managed to play a few matches and gained the respect and good opinion of Udinese supporters. Even Floro Flores and Torje had to go to Granada to play regularly, because we have Totò (long life to him) and now Muriel another incredible talent.

    Forza geijo!

  24. Malteser

With all our new players, let's judge them once we've seen them play a bit?

Danny Graham only scored 2 goals I believe from the Jan to the May in a lower league before we signed him.

Will Hoskins came to us after scoring 15 goals in 22 appearances at Rotherham.

Sometimes stats don't always tell the full story.

I hope you are right fella, because watching that pile of poo yesterday if there is one thing we are crying out for it's a striker, the sooner he gets fit and gets playing the better.

Some people are overreacting, yesterday wasn't that bad. Below par, yes, but 'terrible', or 'sh*te', no. It was clear that Geijo is very much needed, though.

Very much agree with this, what we were lacking yesterday was a bit of flair from young Sean Murray and a striking prowess from Heyho.

Agreed. Basically we were playing with 10 men until Emu came on. How Zola can play Garner is completely beyond me, the Wycombe defenders had probably there easiest game they will have this season. Yeates whilst not good enough did at least show a reasonable level of skill and Doyley played well. ****o was poor.

I think what yesterday showed, and confirmed what we already knew at the Doyley and ****inson are just not technically able to play this type of football. It was no coincidence that both were subed, also Yeates and Garner are not good enough. The biggest positive to come from the game was Vydra, considering that he was out for nearly all last season with a knee injury and it being his first full game of this, when fully match fit will be a great player for us. I expect that next weeks line up will incude Hodson, Pudil, Vydra, Geijo and Murray

Interesting to see that whilst we intend to play football on the deck Zola has bought in two big lumps up front, Heyho and Beleck.

Really?? That was a league 2 side we played...and yes it was that bad, if all we were missing was a couple of good players like Murray, Geijo etc. what happens when we lose them to injury? we are back to clueless.
