The Pozzo's will pull some International players out of the hat so can't even speculate, so just looking at home-grown additions as we will need them. Pritchard would be a good home-grown player. Can't see him getting a game back at Spurs and I reckon he will want to try the Prem after the season he has had with Brentford. The lad from Spurs who is at Coventry will also join. Mings and Friend would be even better if we are to play 5 at the back as Mings is really a centre back who happens to be left footed. Bentley from Southend could be the 3rd keeper with Bond on loan for the season to M'boro as part of Friend deal I am another one who is a fan of Trippier, who is now coming into the prime of his career. Todd Kane from Chelsea may be one of the other younger players who joins to provide competition at right full back. I would also love Redmond from Norwich but he would cost more than all the others put together. Dele Alli possibly won't get a chance at Spurs either so could be a season loan choice.
Pritchard would be excellent cover/competition for Abdi. Ready for the step up on the evidence of his last year, and certainly won't be anywhere near the Spurs team. An unlikely option, because of price, would be Chalobah. He's supremely talented, knows the team and Chelsea seem to have no idea what to do with him. Certainly worth a bid because I honestly don't think they care enough to fight for him.
Cleverley or Chalobah for CM. Byram or Trippier for RWB. Mings for CB. Friend for LWB. I'd be unbelievably happy with even two of them.
I think a lot of you are aiming too low; I think the Pozzo's will invest to keep us in the Premiership now we are finally there. I cannot name who we might get in, but I expect an influx from the the higher echelons of the Pozzo player pool, which may well include many of the stars which until now have been reserved for Udinese. I expect WFC will now be installed as the "Top Team" in the Pozzo empire as we now represent the best financial income for them, so we will be the main focus of the Pozzo's investments, as I am sure they will not want to lose our place in the cash cow that is "The Premiership"; therefore they will speculate as much as they can afford to accumulate!
We will probably be like Granada? Also, all this talk of signing Guedioura... I think Vydra should be the first priority!
Vydra failed at west Bromwich. For me Guediora Deeney and Cathcart are the ones I keep then buy big and stay in the Premiership.
I don't think his time at WBA should be used against him. He was playing a completely different style of football which didn't suit him. This time, he will be playing in a team he has two years experience with.
And frankly, in the scant appearances he made for them he didn't do badly, particularly given that WBA were pretty much underperforming themselves.
Good player at this level but this season has been his first truly excellent season. He's also untried in the Premier League and we don't tend to play the formation he'd perform best in - I wouldn't fancy playing him as a wing back. Definitely better options, for me.
All these guys are out of contract this Summer: - GK's: Boaz Myhill Age 32; Vitto Mannone Age 27. Def: Hector Bellerin Age 20; Younes Kaboul Age 29; Keiran Trappier Age 24. MF's: Mathieu Flamani Age 31; Joey Barton Age 32; Mikel Arteta Age 33. What do you think any worth having a go at signing?
Bellerin will definitely be offered a new contract at Arsenal, probably on a very nice wage - he's been fantastic for them. Obviously, if we could get him, I'd take him any day of the week - it's just not going to happen and I'm quite frankly astonished they've let his contract run down this much! Mannone isn't a bad shout as a back up keeper to be fair, I'd probably go for him over Myhill. I've already said that I'd like to see Trippier join, didn't realise his contract was expiring admittedly! As for the rest - I've never rated Kaboul, and Flamini, Barton and Arteta are all well past their best yet would command wages which are probably higher than we'd want to pay. I'd prefer to keep Abdi, Watson and Tozser, sign Guedioura then get two younger and more dynamic central midfielders. Is there a list of players who are out of contract yet? I know one comes out at the end of the season but not sure about now.
I'd have to double check but I'm sure a few of these are wrong. Kieran Trippier (or 'Keiran Trappier') and Bellerin's contracts certainly don't run out this summer.
Kaboul is quality, Shame about his injury record Loris karius - is a young German keeper likened to neuer If that rob Brady is Robbie Brady then yes definitely Fabian Schar, Andre Ayew, gignac, ranocchia, Vlaar, ings, delph, Joel ward, diaby, akpom, distin, jed steer, coquelin, afobe, Gael kakuta, glen Johnson , suso, Micah Richards , cleverly, James Wilson, Amos. Wil keane, Ryan Taylor, jak alnwick, jack cork , Ryan shotton, Connor wickham, McCauley, mulumbu, yacob, Winston Reid Some obvious quality there, some I can see joining just to be added to the pool I.e akpom Interesting to see if we go for any of those
Lewis Dunk looks like an outstanding CH in the making too....pace, strength, good on the ball, goalscorer and good positional sense
