Deeney on Talksport has also said there will probably 4-5 players coming in with Premiership experience. He has spoken to the owner.

Today's The Sun says us and Ipswich are interested in Millwall's Aiden O'Brien.

Don't want Ince anywhere near our club. Grade A **** and not good enough for the PL.

Add to that it'd mean I'd be sharing our desire to win with Daddy Ince which quite frankly makes me feel ill.

So if we sign him, we may end up wanting to...

    ....send him back to Villa.

Asked a Villa supporting guy in the office...

    "Ha ha, he’s awful.

Not a premier league player. I’d say he’d be ok in the championship, but put him up against some of the premier league big boys and he’s shocking.

I hope for your sake you don’t get him. But if you’re going to offer us a few million for him then I’m sure we won’t refuse it."

A fresh start might be what the guy needs. Also seen that as well as Bennett, Gary Gardner could be leaving Villa too. Was very impressed with him playing for Forest against us and apparently was very good for them. Young, homegrown and plenty of room for improvement, only concern is his injury record.

Zielinski playing really well for Empoli at the moment, great shot on target from outside the box. Hope we get him.

Hope so. But Udinese fans seem to think he will be a regular next season though.

Will we be putting out a retained list like Bournemouth have done today?

I've always been a fan of Jannick Vestergaard. He moved to werder bremen so unlikely to be in our price range.

Serious Unit of a centre back but great composure on the ball. Often played in midfield for Denmark at under age.

It depends from who will stay.
Currently at Udinese in the possible role of attacking midfield we have:
Bruno Fernandes (20YO): an excellent first season last year, quite disappointing this year. Maybe "growth crisis", tried in too many positions, psychologically blocked by tension who knows. If he "unblocks" he's incredibly promising.
Lucas Evangelista (20YO): played very little (also due to an injury), difficult to judge, is quite well considered anyway.
Panagiotis Kone (27YO): more experienced, taken from the relegated Bologna. Decent moves sometimes but overall slightly disappointing.
Piotr Zielinsky (20YO): played mostly coming from bench at Empoli, but seems improving and promising.

This to say that 4 attacking midfielders seem definitely too many in one team. Unless Kone is sold, it's quite possible that one of them could go to Watford.

Sorry, I'm not seeing the whole Mings thing. The guy has been utter toilet everytime I've seen him. Big and strong but technically awful and can't seem to run.

Seen WD sport saying we're trying to get some experienced home-grown players in on loan; who do we think they could be? What do we think about Scott Parker to get the ball rolling?

Not Parker. 35 in October, his legs have gone.

Would bring a lot to the dressing room and I don't think you'd have to worry too much about his legs if he's 4th choice CM.
Another name I thought of which I've also seen suggested elsewhere is Crouch (again, 34 though).

  22. The undeniable truth

So he's fine as long as he doesn't ever get on the pitch ? He's too slow to close down/intercept/tackle which is all his game is based on.
Crouch doesn't need to be so mobile so age is less of an issue but he seems to have been off the boil for years now. Plus he doesn't really fit our system of play/tactics - cue the usual debate.
Sorry to be so negative, esp when I can't come up with any suggestions at all.

  23. simpleMASH

I'm not saying he should never get on the pitch, just that if he's only likely to play a dozen games all year it won't be too physically demanding for him.
And I understand that Crouch doesn't look like the type of player that would suit us, but the same can be said of Gestede and it's pretty clear at this point that Gino has at least enquired about him.

I know we said experienced but personally i'd like us to bring in someone like Tom Carroll from Spurs

I think HG players we should be looking at are as follows:

Victor Moses (just watched him against Barca in their friendly and he was looking very sharp)
    Gnarby
    Harry Winks
    Tom Carroll
Calum Chambers (although Wenger just said the other day he wants to develop him into a CB and not a RB)
    Alex Pritchard
    Nathan Ake
    Loftus-Cheek
    Chabaloah

That's all I can think of right now off the top of my head who would be better than some of the HG talent we already have as well as make up those 2 remaining spots that need to be filled in order to have a 25 squad

I've played against him (and won 4-2, that's my claim to fame on this forum)

I think central midfield and full back are the only places left we need cover, got enough wingers now.
Are Winks and Carroll good enough? Or Chalobah for that matter? Loftus-Cheek would be a hell of a coup..

  32. The undeniable truth

The undeniable truth First Team Captain

Definitely central midfield. The fact that we bought Beh when we were still hoping to sign Stambouli means they recognise we are still one short there. Maybe Inler is still a possibility ? Disappointing though the performance at Cardiff was, I think the starting 11 is pretty much fixed now, its just the bench that needs strengthening, but that makes loans more difficult as their clubs will want them to play.

  33. Markoa$

I think they are, I've seen a lot of them simply because my dads a spurs supporter, so I watch majority of their games as well as ours. Tom Carroll and Harry Winks have been on the verge of breaking into the first team at Spurs by going out on loan and making Europa as well as domestic cup appearances the past couple seasons.

Loftus-Cheek would be a coup, but I think it's doable.

Funnily enough Ashley Young has been mentioned on Twitter and a couple Watford fans today have been sending him tweets to join us on loan.

I think Young will be surplus to requirements at United this season, but unfortunately his wage demands will probably be too much of a stumbling block.
