Perfectly executed 4-5-1 when we needed it most. I think Wolves will find more sides nullifying Neves and Moutinho.

There's are very few sides in this league with a better midfield than Watford...and we have Chalobah yet to join the party. I think it's time to play to our biggest strength and keep the 5.

The transformation of Capoue has been unbelievable. So good to see consistency in his game.

Elgar was a Wolves fan. He set to music an extract from a match report, "He booted the leather for goal". Dunno how it went on - probably "it was that or go on the dole."

Good satisfying win, and performance to go with it. any links to the goals yet?

Much as today was brilliant, I'm slightly dreading next week's inevitable three goal home defeat to a terrible Huddersfield team that haven't won all season.

Hopefully, they’ll make a comeback after Brexit.

Fair enough. I thought we were talking birthplace rather than allegiance.

Worcester Ciry were probably **** even in his day.

Awful things being said about Nic Cruwys by Wolves fans - before and after the match was played. Absolutely disgusting that it's those types of ****s that give the rest of their fanbase a bad name. Apart from that, a lot of others have been very fair and praising

Not if he’s sent off against Liverpool.

    Naughty raking on Wijnaldum.

Just great to change formation and players and still win away. Confidence runs deep and we seem to be getting 70 per cent of our players at a high standard for most matches. Doucoure back to his best but Capoue stand out performer again. As for Wolves they were more like puppies! Their fans were taking the pee in the week so this is sweet and makes up for the Bournemouth debacle.

I wonder where MotD will place the Watford match. Last time the media darlings beat us 4-0 and we were placed 2nd in the running order. This week, villainous Watford beat the media darlings. Our game 2nd from last maybe?

A Canadian cousin was obsessed by it.

Hugely popular there as a show which had no obvious American influence.

What's great about Gracia's tenure so far is that we are not only beating teams/winning matches that we have an appalling record against/in, we are doing it with style and often convincingly, not merely nicking wins.

Look at the teams we've beat and where:

Chelsea, one win in last 18 attempts - beat them 4-1
Spurs, one win in last 17 (and that a consolation win in a League Cup tie when the first leg was all but lost) - beat them after going a goal down and nearly knocked them out of the League Cup a few weeks later - could it be our first Premier League win against a Champions League qualifying team and only our second top flight one after we beat Liverpool in 1982/83 on the last day to finish 2nd?
Palace, a real bogey side at the Vic, only one league home win in our last 12 attempts
Burnley away, dreadful record there, only two wins in back to back seasons and countless defeats, win 3-1
Wolves away, not much better, one league win in 17 since we hammered them 5-0 in our first meeting (though plenty of draws!)

It just goes to show that past records count for nothing, when we have a good manager and a team with teamwork, positivity and bottle (which has often not been the case both in our Championship and Premier League days post-GT) to add to our undoubted quality. Long may it continue...

    Great win and fully deserved.

This was a team that was unbeaten in 6 and fully expected to make it 7.

Their players turned up alright, it’s just our players were better and our manager outclassed theirs. They were not lethargic or tired by any means, they just didn’t know how to deal with us.

You would hazard a guess that they trained all week on stopping our 4-4-2 so when they got the team sheet, I’m sure it surprised them. It was a masterclass by Javi.

We dominated from start to finish and it probably should have been at least 3/4-0 before their little resurgence started in the second half.

Without getting carried away, it just feels like we’re almost there, cementing ourselves as a top 10 Prem club who will challenge for the Europa now and again. Will be interesting to see what Gino does in the January transfer window. 2/3 top class additions and we could have our best season in the Prem yet.

What we don’t need is us throwing away this win with a gutless display, thinking it’s already in the bag performance against Huddersfield. They are truly dreadful at the moment but if we think the game is already won before kick off then another embarrassing Bournemouth result awaits us.

    Our next 3 games are;

    Huddersfield (H)
    Newcastle (A)
    Southampton (A)

Got to be getting at least 6 points out of 9.

Playing Newcastle at the right time, hopefully they stick with Benitez. Something definitely going on behind the closed doors there.

    Anyway back to today’s game.

Superb win, back on track, stopped the rot, no longer on the mountain with moccasin slippers. We go again.

    Come on Watford!
