All human beings at a base level like praise and recognition, and our football teams are an extension of ourselves, we mostly all like to see credit where credit is due and we definitely didn’t get that after the result on Saturday.

I remember on MNF after Wolves drew with City they analysed how Wolves played and how they managed to get a point, this is despite City hitting the post three times.

It would’ve been nice to have seen a bit more analysis about how we managed to completely nullify Wolves much lauded midfield, but obviously this didn’t happen.

Maybe it was because Wolves has been hyped up so much, that the same people who hyped them u0 didn’t then want to draw attention to the fact that their flavour of the month had lost.

Or maybe it’s because we are Watford and the assumption was that we are ‘unpredictable’ and that there was no rhyme or reason for the result, it was just one of those things not worth looking further into.

Almost forgot. You'll all be glad to hear that a certain someone had another incident involving poo and a sock.

Capoue in Garths team of the week. He still had to mention that tackle on Zaha with his inclusion though.

They won't like that sort of thing over on Reddit. Should we expect him back here imminently?

I was sitting in the boozer with the lads before the game and I have to admit I was puzzled to why my mates were hyping up Wolves so much and given us no chance of a result. All the talk was about how good the Wolves player's are no mention that we had Pereyra who had scored for Argentina in the week or Doucoure who's as good as most midfielders in the league on his day, ex Barca and Spanish international Delafeou was was back in the line up. I know people complain about us not getting the credit we deserve from the media but it seems some of our own fans don't give us the credit sometimes.

Nail on the head. The fact is despite being a (relatively) established PL team, we have been inconsistent since day 1 in this league. It’s not exactly a huge story when we beat Spurs 2-1, just as it’s no real surprise when we get tonked 4-0 at home to Bournemouth. There’s no “everything wrong with English football” story any more, not even a change of manager story this season so far, so I reckon we’re just a bit of a nothing team from the outside at the moment.

So we've gone from Loanford to Sackford and now Nothingford. At least we're evolving.

Howe most definitely comes from Amersham - so forgiveness is in order, I'm afraid.

    No,no,no,no,NO!
Smug St Eddie would need to "have the looks of Apollo and the name of a rare skin disease"*, the backhand volley of BJK,the talent of Randy Newman and Aristophanes rolled into one and STILL need to be incarcerated in a pit of filth on Saturn or suffer some Sisyphean torment in order for forgiveness and S St E to be mentioned in the same breath.
    *God bless Clive James!

“Mostly”. Is the key word here. Frankly, I couldn’t give a monkeys whether we get praise from pundits, journalists and commentators or not. I’m just interested in how many points we get and (less significantly) how well we play. It really surprises me that people get so worked up about it.

Originally Amersham - the family lived on the same road as my best friend at primary school and I was in the same class as, and friends with, Eddie's brother.

I'm sure Tsun su in the art of war said something, at some point, about keeping your opponent guessing and being unpredictable - or it might have been Hitler about trying to keep himself safe from assassination.

I record it and play back cutting out all the punditry and boring games. Takes about 25 mins to watch the lot.

I record it and just watch the last 5 minutes. It’s the only part that interests me.

Most if not all the Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have roundly condemned the actions of these lowlifes and also those (a very small minority) who insinuate that Nic brought this upon himself. The real crime is that those who perpetrated this sick unprovoked assault received as do many violent criminals what I regard as lenient sentences.
