All human beings at a base level like praise and recognition, and our football teams are an extension of ourselves, we mostly all like to see credit where credit is due and we definitely didn’t get that after the result on Saturday. I remember on MNF after Wolves drew with City they analysed how Wolves played and how they managed to get a point, this is despite City hitting the post three times. It would’ve been nice to have seen a bit more analysis about how we managed to completely nullify Wolves much lauded midfield, but obviously this didn’t happen. Maybe it was because Wolves has been hyped up so much, that the same people who hyped them u0 didn’t then want to draw attention to the fact that their flavour of the month had lost. Or maybe it’s because we are Watford and the assumption was that we are ‘unpredictable’ and that there was no rhyme or reason for the result, it was just one of those things not worth looking further into.
