Apparently to some itk's living in the tweet world, the deal between us and Derby has been agreed in principle. So probably means it's poopoo as that seems to be an itk's favorite get out clause. Interestingly his agent is Paulo Vernazza.

 

This is actually kind of mental for me, he's been so hyped up in his career so far, if it's actually close this almost feels like a harbinger of a new step in our profile as a 3rd year Prem club.

Every time I've seen a Derby match, I've missed most of what Hughes does to earn his reputation, so I asked Derby fans over on Reddit a little while back. They uniformly sprung to his defence and were effusive in their praise and how important he was for them, so I'd defer to the judgement of a group who watch their team every week, year on year.

If this move really is close, and for a semi-realistic price in particular, then I'm really excited by it.

 

On their forum the majority of Derby fans seem to think the price is low but they probably owe us loads for Vydra and Anya so that's probably giving us an edge.

 

It is a big move, he's going to the Premier League from a nothing club full of average players like Chris Martin and Tom Ince.
