Very good win. Lots of strong performances and I love having Success up front. We will not play a worse team than Huddersfield mind. They gave the ball away so many times!

We used to have Jamie hand and Dominic Blizzard as genuine midfield options.

Thank you so much Gino Pozzo.

That was an excellent match to watch. Huddersfield really could have scored a few but we could have scored twice as many. Flowing, overlapping, lovely stuff.

Brilliant brilliant goal from Peyera. Probably one of the best I’ve seen at the Vic. Delafoo also scored a great goal and will do him the world of confidence. Same goes for Success, yes it was a tap in but it’s still a goal for him.

Rest of the game was just about tinted in our favour with Foster pulling off dive WC saves today. That Billing blokes shot from 30 yards I thought that was in and 2-1, but OMG what a save, great glove.

Huddersfield had their chances and on another day that could of been a different game.

But I have to give credit as so many have to Gracia. GREAT spirit in this team at the moment, and the ability to keep pressing and creating chances remind me much of the GT era. Everyone’s playing well, not 100% every game but much better than under Slither. Crowd was great too thanks to the guy who gave up his seat he was using next to him for his shopping bag for my sister too.

It wasn’t a flawless display by any means and we can play better especially in an attacking sense but it’s 6 from 6. now with a trip to the lowly Geordies next.

Thank you everyone who went today.

Some of the football today was excellent. Yes we were guilty of overplaying at times but I put that down to us being so much better than the opposition. Had Hughes scored from the Pereyra backheel after we'd kept the ball for ages, that would've been goal of the season.

Success was brilliant today - yes, the final ball and decision making wasn't always spot on but he caused so many problems, held the ball up so well and worked hard too. He threw their centre backs to the ground three or four times, they couldn't handle him.

This is the best quality football we've seen since promotion. The interplay and movement is far better than anything we've seen in the three previous seasons.

First shout out to Udders fans. Kept singing throughout and were the loudest away support I think we've had this season.

They were ok going forwards but abysmal at the back.

We were scintillating going forwards but with obvious weakness at the back.

Deulofeou was good but was probably more wasteful than success. If bother improved their decision making and final execution they'd be top players.

Success is a revelation as a striker. Wins so much in the air, holds it up, lays it off, chases his own flick ons, but yeah, he fluffed a few final balls. Delighted to see him score.

Pereyra is just too good for us. He's got to be in the sights of a champions league team.

Can't believe Capoue used to be crap. He's the complete midfielder these days. Doucoure is playing fantastically but I'd say he's fallen behind Capoue in the pecking order there. Would never have believed that possible a year ago.

Masina did ok on some things and poorly on others. Think Holebas should come back. Masina looks a competent back up, no more.

Foster made a good number of saves. Many were routine, though it's important not to fluff them, but a couple were of real quality.

Hope Huddersfield scrap survival as there's little to dislike about them as a club or team.

Gray and Sema unimpressive when they came on.

What a goal Roberto Pereyra - about 12 months ago I said I can't remember why I was so excited by this guy, he doesn't seem a class above. Well he does now.. what a goal.

Deulofeu makes such a difference. 7/10 performance, holds onto the ball a bit too much but rustiness is to be expected. Anyone know if he's injured or was just really upset at being substituted?

Success is a breath of fresh air too, again not perfect, his final pass ruined a lot of attacks but really growing into a good player.

Doccoure is one negative for me, not his worst performance this season but he's just off the boil a little bit. Ironically giving the ball away aplenty at the moment. Chalobah needs to get fit ASAP as I think the security of Doucs position might be causing the sloppiness.

*Have to credit Hughes as he never stops running but the weight in his pass was poor today. Too often overhit or too weak. Still love him though.

*We've learnt really to manage the game, it's almost petty at times, 33rd minute after their forward headed wide leading to our goal kick. Masina was yards from the ball and walked past it letting the Huddersfield CM come all the way over to left back and give Foster the ball back. Excellent time wasting.

Huddersfield were rubbish though and going down, we could've scored six or seven it was that open at the back. Great support before the goals though. Loudest this season.

Still no idea what Ken Sema does or why Javi trusts him so much,

Usually, hate Mike Dean but good referring performance has to be said.

Two great footballing performances in a row, really good with the ball and if we carry on in this vein we'll be great to watch this year. No excuse to not beat Newcastle next week and make it 3 on the bounce which would be a fantastic achievement! They say the table means nothing till 10 games which we're now at and as it stands we're all going on a European tour.

Finally - MoPlay Meets!? What on Earth was that!! AWFUL marketing!?

At 2-0 the bloke behind me said that the goalscorers last 2 clubs were Barcelona and Juventus. That brings things home how much we've moved on. Great game to watch, but I have to be honest and ask how Huddersfield have scored so few? Yes their defence wasn't great but attacking wise I thought they were a threat many times today.

This has been our best ever start to a top flight season for points after 10 matches.

Even better than 82-83, when we eventually finished runners-up.

There are only two things I didn't like about that match.

    1) Deulofeu histrionics at being taken off, hate it when players show general disrespect like that in front of the manager, it lowers the tone of his performance today. People will say it's passion, in my eyes a really good professional player does not act like that, it's a team game & you respect your managers decisions. Show your passion next time you are on the field.

    2) Not so sure about Sema, know it's really too early to judge but just does not look quite right with a player like him in this particular squad. Will however be interesting to see what he can bring to the team this season.

He just doesn't seem to have a clear identity as a player? What's the one thing he's really good at? Every time he's played I've forgotten he's on the pitch. Good run at the end though where he should've played in Gray for 4-0.

That was a pleasure to watch. Some great attacking play at times and we could easily have had more.
If only Hughes was a more natural finisher, that would have been a wonderful team goal, reminiscent of the one we scored a few years back against Huddersfield at home.
I enjoyed seeing Success and Deulofeu up front together. Success deserved his goal as he did everything right today except pick the final pass. Needs to work on that; although the one time he found the perfect pass Deulofeu rounds the ‘keeper and puts his chip wide! But he can be forgiven that for his superb goal. And that wasn’t even the best goal of the afternoon!

Only concerns were that i) we dropped too deep in the last 20 minutes or so. Invited extra pressure and couldn’t get out of our half.
ii) Masina doesn’t have great positional awareness and not nearly enough pace to recover when he’s caught out. I’d put Holebas back in next week.

Overall a very good day. Looking forward to coming back for the Liverpool game.
MotM: Ben Foster for some outstanding saves that prevented the outcome from being very different.

Deulofeu will waste chances and frustrate but equally cause any defence in this league problems. His workrate impressed me. If he can score goals like the one today, I think I can live with him missing chances like those in the second half. Hopefully some consistency will come as he builds up his match fitness.

Pereyra is just ridiculous. Yes, the goal will be talked about long into the night, but some of the tricks and flicks he was pulling out today were on a different level - and not just for show, but actually serving a purpose to get our attacking play going. It's amazing what regaining that yard of pace following his injury has done.

Not the perfect performance today but I don't think that should be the expectation. In order to win games in this league, you have to maintain a certain level, and the players are achieving this level for long periods in nearly every match. I think I saw some critcism earlier in the season that we are relying on "wonder goals", but that is simply a product of the confidence Javi has instilled, on show again today.

  22. Success really has everything to be a complete striker.

Delafoo and Pereyra put the team on another level. Pereyra is the muts nuts.

We were a bit sloppy and took foot off the gas but it never looked like anything other than a Watford win.

Really had to take a step back today and appreciate where we are . We are a proper premier league team now . Huddersfield didn’t play badly and I felt we started slowly and in the first ten minutes they were first to every ball . But then came 2 moments of sheer class which won the game for us .Huddersfield just don’t have the quality to compete with us .

How many times did that happen to us in 99/00 and 06/07? Now we are doing it to other sides !

I didn’t think we played that well in the first half and didn’t really get into our stride . But we got our passing game togethe more after half time and should have had a couple more . I know Foster made a couple of great saves bit personally I never felt like they were a threat and most of their efforts were from long range.

I echo the comments on Success . Have wanted to see hinmgiven a chance and he is clearly very comfortable in the role . Yes he doesn’t always choose the best option but thought he deserved his goal today .

I do think we need to improve the final ball as we won’t always score the Worldys but the future looks very exciting . Also with Chalobah , Cleverly and possibly Peneranda to still come in!

A very comfortable afternoon really once we dulled Huddersfield's bright start with a goal. Pereyra's goal was a goal only really he could score - at the risk of criticism though, I think it looked a lot better than it was as the static defending and lack of a meaningful challenge on him made his route to goal more comfortable than it should have been. I'd be furious if that goal was scored against us. Likewise the second - a great run and finish but I'd be annoyed with their GK if I was a fan of theirs...

Seems almost rude to say it after a 3-0 PL win but we never really got out of second gear all afternoon - lord knows what the score would have been with everyone at the top of their game. Thought Deulofeu was a bit petulant with his sulking at being subbed - was good man-management from JG to withdraw him on the hour given his injury/fitness issues and his knack of tiring after 60 mins anyway.

Don't like jumping on the bandwagon - but Sema looks increasingly like he could be out of his depth at this level. He has time to convince us all otherwise but he looks Championship level to me and I'd rather have Quina and/or Peneranda (when available) pushed ahead of him.

Success looking easily like our best striking option. Still has a habit of choosing the wrong option or final ball but he's learning. We do however need more midfielders taking a chance and breaking into the box as he quite often goes out wide looking for the ball and that leaves little to aim at in the middle. But that will come.

Difficult one for JG next week - I'm a firm believer of not changing a winning side. And Newcastle look in dire trouble. But I think our desire to keep the starting XI the same is what caused our little blip of form so far this season, so maybe it's time start a little bit of weekly rotation. I'd keep Doucoure in ahead of Chalobah next week purely for his engine and ball-winning ability away from home but if it was at VR, I'd bring Chalobah in for him as he's looking too comfortable knowing he'll play every week IMO. But I think Holebas and Kabasele will have to play their way back in because it's incredibly harsh to drop any defenders after 6 points and 2 clean sheets.

When you have players like Pereyra and Deulofeu who can score goals like that we will have a chances to score goals .

Huddersfield actually started better but generally we were prettt comfortable and could have scored more with better finishing or the final ball going astray.

Cannot complain about a solid 3-0 win!

What a contrived piece of nonsense at half time.
Huddersfield certainly have spirit but I'm sure no one believes they can escape this season.
Their Tommy Mounier no. 20 was enormous, had a bottom the size of Kettering!
I thought GD was just exhausted, what a shame if he was being umpty.
Why do people leave their seats after 38 minutes? Have I missed something about the catering?

As much as I absolutely agree with almost all of that, I have to say don’t change it for Newcastle away. We are playing well, pressing and defending when needed. Holebas has been immense this season bar his bookings, but we seem settled into a new system with Success leading the line giving Delafoo almost a forward role.

If we are going to change it, please please, Gracia don’t have Deeney or Gray in Success’s role. I do understand that teams figure us out and complacency can creep in, but keep it the same again up north and let’s see after that.

We have the strength in depth to change it now when needed, this is great, but a big line change may unbalance the settled new side especially at the back.

Those two do lift us to the next level. A level above Huddersfield thats for sure. GD especially seems to have the time on the ball and a turn of pace that makes him a bit special. Ask anyone today what 2 players used to play for Barca and Juve and I think 99% would get it right.
