I was at Muff. Traveling today.

Make of that what you will.

    Outstanding, & unWatfordlike, bouncebackability.

Some of the attacking interplay today was exquisite. There were several occasions where we carved them open with quick one-touch passes, backheels and really great movement. It was fantastic to watch us going forward at times. As well as Deeney and Gray played at the start of the season, today showed how threatening we can be when we play with genuine speed and power up front in Success and Deloufeu.

Special mention for Success, who looks like an absolute handful to play against. His pace and power, coupled with a good touch and decent awareness meant that we could play the ball into him and be confident that it would stick. Equally, we can play into space and he’s got the speed to get there first. Massive credit to him for turning things around, and if he continues to perform like he’s done today, he could develop into a really effective player for us. Final ball was just lacking a couple of times, but encouraging that he was playing the right pass, without quite executing it.

My daughter is made up she’s still our ‘lucky charm’. We were right at the very front row next to the goal,I was up for moving but she loved being that close! I agree with nearly everything written above, good game, could have been about 6-3 with some better final passing and foster not being on top form. Great day out (apart from the queue for the tickets)

From his posts, I get the impression that Isaac has dug deep.

    Credit to him & JG.

What are you queuing for? I sometimes have a pee and will buy a coffee or a diet coke in the ground if there's no queue, but over a 90 minute spectacle, I'm not missing 8-10 Minutes to queue for a pint of carling and some unidentifiable meat in a bun.

The Catalan for pancake is, pleasingly, panqueque.

I think few of us would've been surprised if he'd ended up as another Obbi Oulare after last season's exploits. Now he looks like a very important player.

Shows how important a player's attitude is and the difference between making it or bumming out.

Not saying Oulare had a bad attitude. He was just ****.

Only negative that was that the Deulofeu song the 1881 tried to get going is ******* terrible.

There was one of the players family sat in front of us in the SEJ. Kiko's I think. They didn't have a lot of English but still managed to join in with some of the chants. Certainly seemed to enjoy the day!

Only two? He kicked the ball towards the goal from outside the area and ran after it, then kicked it again to put it in the net. Admittedly, the way he ran after it suggested that he was practicing his dance moves, which put off the defenders.

I actually somewhat agree with him. I wouldn't say ‘angry’ but we could have really put them to the sword.
I was certain you were going to criticise Mike Dean for not sending Billing off! My apologies for getting it wrong!

Got to watch the first 40 mins on a dodgy feed before leaving to coach my under 9 team. Really had a bad feeling going into it as Huddersfield have to win at some point and good old watford like to give these teams those points over the years. First 5 mins or so and my feelings were justified they had their chances but that will be their downfall I guess, I've predicted them to drop with Newcastle and Wales and 10 games in its looking like a good prediction. Looking forward to watching the highlights in a bit. Javi' s comments are very uplifting even after a 3-0 win second clean sheet in a row he's still not happy and wants to improve. I like the way he takes 1 game at a time and doesn't get to carried away, I can't help to look at the fixtures and say we should have 3 points here and 3 points there. But in good old Watford fashion that's where we would screw up. So thankfully this ain't Watford of old we seem to of turned a massive corner and how it's improved on and off the pitch is very exciting. Squad morale is at a high the squad is the best we've seen they all want to be a part of it and get on with it when their not. The medical team ( touch wood) has sorted its self out and with Javi and the Pozzo's the futures very bright indeed. Now onto Giving those daft Geordies their first 3 points of the season after I've said all that.

But they were also impressed by Watford. Very fair comments

Haha no unfortunately not! She did say to me when we got home that we haven’t tested her lucky charmness against ‘a good team’ yet so might come up against one of the ‘big boys’

I can't remember a season where the quality of the goals we've scored has been so consistently high.

Goal of the Season is going to be an absolute nightmare to pick.

We've scored 16, and of those I can only think of the Cathcart and Gray's goal against United, as being fairly "bread & butter" or basic goals. All the others have been outstanding. Even the Holebas fluke was exceptional.

Not sure why this is happening. Ok, Pereyra is scoring a lot of these, but there are plenty of other contenders. Not sure what I would pick, but I liked Gray's at Burnley for the move plus finish. Pereyra today would take a lot of beating. But I would pick the top three being: Pereyra v Brighton (his first), Pereyra v Wolves and Pereyra v Huddersfield. Not sure of the order though.

Good to see Troys multi tasking skills - drinking a cup of tea , texting/tweeting and watching the match .

Does anyone know who Deeneys mate is by the way ?

A strange game. I don’t think we ever got out of second gear, although admittedly we didn’t really need to. Huddersfield were very poor, and relied on long range potshots to try and find a route into the game.

Really pleased for Isaac, he deserved his goal today and took it well - hopefully he grabs this opportunity with both hands and we see him start to live up to his potential.

Pereyra - where do I start? He was in sparkling form again today and we’ll do well to tie him down to a log range deal and resist any offers that will inevitably come in January. He is a star.

I thought this was not a good afternoon for Doucoure. Not sure if he’s maybe a little fatigued or or was just a bad day at the office but he didn’t look fully at it for me. Eased off the ball a lot and I’ve never seen him give the ball away so much.

Unimpressed with Masina following a decent showing at Wolves last week. Jury is still out.

Some of our passing and movement was superb and it’s a shame we didn’t kick it up a notch as Huddersfield, whilst trying, were an absolute shambles at the back and we could’ve easily got 4/5+ if it wasn’t for wasteful finishing, poor final balls and taking our foot off the gas (perhaps understandably) as the game went.

Onto Newcastle now which will be a tough test; they’ve got to win eventually and will be rights up for it against us - they’ll think we’re beatable. I’d be happy to take 4 points from them and Southampton.
