Doesn't look like a side set up to defend deep for 90 mins.

That's a good attacking side with success starting as well

Holebas as part of a back three though !

What an exciting team, there will be goals in this.

If the semi colons are to be believed it's a 3-4-3 with holebas at CB. I think it's more likely to be a 4-4-2, though it could be 4-2-4 or 3-5-2 or 4-5-1?! In any case it's nice to see a team that doesn't look set out to try defend a 0-0 for the entire game. Nice to see Success starting, hopefully it's not an absolute bloodbath...

Working on it ;) ..... A few years ago my Mrs was a booze manager and used to come home with boxes and boxes of end of line stuff, often bought at a tenth of the retail price and some of it very, very good. Sounds great but tbh we rarely drink at home and when we do it's usually bier so there's still a dozen cases of various reds and several bottles of shampoo in the cupboard under the stairs.

I'm now just doing my bit to save me transporting it all to our new home in Germany. My wife Inge is already there so I've got another3 weeks on my ownsome with a very loud stereo and a few WFC videos. Unfortunately I have to work too so I can't really go overboard.

Capoue and Deeney on the bench - didn't he say Doucoure was cream crackered after his efforts against WBA though? Hope he's still got enough petrol in the tank for this one. He may need to do some running.

Mapps, as expected, keeps his place. Fingers crossed he can continue his good form, but I have a nagging worry about whether he's quite good enough. Hope he sticks that back down my throat with a massive performance.

Success has looked OK, but not really exceptional in most of his 10 min appearances. Going to be fascinating to see him start. He has plenty to prove in front of the cameras.

Same with Niang. Hopefully he'll be fired up with a desire to show off to Milan what they missed.

Happy with Okaka starting too. Underrated striker really. Got a natural eye for goal as we've seen on a few occasions.

All the previews are 98% Spuds and 2% for the "also rans". Awful, but very typical, braggadocio of the very worst kind from their stinking, spoilt bedwetter 'fans'. They're going to win 6-0. Are they now......

    Let's see.

Just being a whiney old ******** about 'the way we conduct our business' again, talking **** about instability and how it doesn't work, etc etc. Ignore the fact that every club goes through large player upheavals every summer in the modern game, and that it has done the opposite of lead to the rack and ruin that he likes to predict for us, including this lunchtime.

Good to see Okaka gambling on the keeper spilling any shots.

Amrabat looks like a fish out of water. Surely it must be Capoue on for him at half time.

Amrabat should NOT be playing in the center; he's a winger. And judging by Success's crosses, Success is definitely NOT a winger. Either way, time to get **** drunk to try and forget about that shoddy performance. I am not dissapointed in the team as such because they have played relatively well (most notably in the 1st 20 minutes), I am just disappointed that they have managed to concede so many... But at the end of the day, it is Spurs and it was unlikely we were ever going to grab points from them considering they have never lost at their place and only drawn 3 (I think).

P.s. their goals were unbelievably good especially Dele Alli's... Gomes couldn't do nuffink about that.

Never expected any other result. Spurs, as difficult it is to say, are a superb team. They are really creating more great players for Real and Utd. As for us, a very trying experience. Mapps and Success were out of the depth. Not sure Isaac is going to be up to the required level. A lot for him to do, but he has youth on his side. Okaka, in my view, is not a long term prospect. Amrabat does not work hard enough in a defensive sense. Other than that hard to judge them, as they lost any heart after the 2nd.

They are a bloody nightmare going forward, a very good side indeed. Shame, because apart from the capitulation we played well in spells. Certainly for the first 20 minutes.

    Alli is a spiteful prat.

Come on then Walter's smug fanboys, defend THAT!

Naff off back to italy you clueless nitwit. Even a broken clock is right twice a day and beating the worst side in the division and then the team who hasn't won away all year was the zenith of his ability.

If we have come away with no injuries and then next week, Deeney, Capoue and possibly Prodl start then we have done as well as could be expected, Spurs are 2nd for a reason and once the goals went in it was difficult to stop them, even though the goals were pretty special and not totally down to our poor play!

Yeah, he looks more suited to when the game has opened up in the latter stages.

Trippier was superb, would love to sign him in summer if h gets sick of being back up to Walker.

A loss for Watford; but a great victory for the Mazzrexit camp.

Remainers dust themselves off and prepare for Swansea.

Chin up lads, much as I hate them (well their fans really) spuds are up there in Bayern & Barca territory, better than Chelsea IMO.

As they are they're a step ahead of Gino's immediate aims but don't ever imagine he doesn't have designs on the chasing group. We will be trying for Europe next season.

Spurs were a class above today, and are infinitely better than us in every respect. We did our best for the first half hour, but once they got their first goal, it was difficult to see any other outcome in all honesty. We also did well to keep it to just 4-0, as Spurs could have had several more.

Onwards and upwards. Swansea at home next weekend, where we can bounce back and hopefully hit the 40 point mark! COYH!
