But to meet the criteria of the Dyer role you need to be fast and have no neck; does this role appeal to you?

has Dyer been told to wind his neck in?

Good point. I was originally of the mindset that if he was going to go he would be gone by now but leaving it to the international break makes sense. However it does beg the question that Sannino must know he is going to get sacked if everyone else seemingly does.

All Ive heard about the McGugan situation is that YK said it was worse than the Dyer situation. Doesnt bode well for Lewis being dropped from 2 squads.

If its just those two and one or two others then I cant see him being sacked. If its something more than being abrasive and shouting too much ie personal abuse then he could and probably should be sacked.

Id be very surprised if they sacked a manager who is winning unless they really had to though.

But surely the best path is to sit down and resolve the situation with some responsibility being taken by both sides.

However if McGugan and Dyer insist on playing every game they ll have to leave and we can make some money on the transfers

I'm led to believe that McGugan wanted to leave over the summer, teams have since showed interest and McGugan has put in a transfer request as a result.

I read an article last week that said he was on someone's watch list - can't think who, maybe West Brom? Leaving him out of the squad while negotiations take place is the done thing these days so there might be something in what Arry says.

West Brom, Norwich and Cardiff I think?! Norwich having just lost Leroy Fer of course.

Indeed. West Brom need to fill that hole on the bench that Vydra left behind. McGugan fits the bill.

If he goes to Norwich or Cardiff, even if they offer more £, Nani is a complete ****wit.

At least if that is the case he would've forfeited his loyalty bonus, and makes us a bit of profit on him too...

Given that the rumours of a new head coach today (Tuesday) haven't panned out and that Sannino is still in charge, I am increasingly questioning the accuracy of the other rumours that have been circulating.

It's starting to feel like this whole situation is hugely exaggerated, particularly given the weekend's performance, Nando hugging the head coach after coming off, Abdi shaking Sannino's hand when subbed and Angella's heartfelt tweet about pulling together.

I don't doubt that there have been some barneys behind the scenes but then we heard credible rumours of a punch up under Zola, too. Every workplace has disagreements, politics and drama.

I'm starting to think that certain players may have been to blame, rather than Sannino - he would have been easier to replace than players at this time. I wasn't at the game Saturday but having watched the highlights the 11 that were out there wanted to play for the team. It will be interesting when the truth comes out. Also makes the team selection interesting tonight.

Think Beppe did right thing starting McGoo and Dyer. He has come out of this with more credit than the players in question IMO. They like most others on display tonight did not set the world alight although Dyer took his goal well.

I have noticed how on WO comments, moronic anti-Sannino comments always seem to get upvoted. Seems unlikely to me that Watford fans could form a different consensus just by being on a different website. Foul play in the comment rating by the WO perhaps?

So clearly whats happened here is that certain players with a grudge have manipulated the WO into running a story against Beppe. Frank Smith (fresh from his public slap down by Deeney and looking to bounce back) has taken the bait hook, like and sinker

I'm sure there has been some things happening behind the scenes but it seems that it's sorted now. I might be imagining it but the observer seem to be getting little digs in at Beppe in their articles and tweets. That's just how it seems to me, could be wrong.

Definitely agree with that. After Saturdays game (where we dominated and won 4-1) they led with a quote that was nothing more than a secondary aside from Hockaday about the Watford bench looking 'animated and frustrated'. Very strange line to lead on .

I wonder if Sannino/Pozzos have had a run in with the Wobby at some point because Ive found their reporting over the past couple of weeks out of synch with their usual approach

Nope not foul play. If you're on Facebook go onto the Enjoooooyyythegaaaaame page. Granted some of the people on there could (and probably would) be commenting on the WO website as well, but there's a lot of anti-Sannino sentiment on there. I just saw 3 people take the **** out of Beppe's post-match comments now, with one calling him a clown. If you see the quotes they've used from Beppe, it seems very clear that it's him speaking broken English. But whatever can be used against him will used as evidence...

I have never in my life seen a more inbred group of people than the people on that group..

Its a mixture of adults ******* up to their hero, Lord Richard Short, and pretending to be ITK because they managed to get a photo with a player at the open day... and little kids who look up to these sad acts and feed off their every word... which in turn encourages the 'adults'.

Theres a little clique of middle aged women on it too who whenever we sign a player who is somewhat attractive they decide amongst themselves whose 'man' that is..

It really is laughable and I have no idea why anyone would spend more than 10 minutes on that group before quitting..

I have asked that question to myself before. I've yet to create an answer. But I do agree some of the people that post regularly on there are just beyond unbelievable. Wouldn't be surprised if they were one of the vegetable-wielding maniacs...

Loads of rumours flying around. Plenty of titbits being leaked out via various sources. Actions and body language of the players shows there is a problem - Stevie Wonder could see that even without the rumours/press bits to go on.

The key, in my opinion, is to not just resolve it but do it quickly. This is a superb squad, the best I've ever seen, but the longer this stuff rumbles on in the background the less chance it has got of achieving anything.

If Sannino is hated by all the players you have to question why Troy would have signed a new contract when he could easily have forced a massive transfer through this summer, earning himself a small fortune.

Outside of a scenario where Troy has been guaranteed that a new coach is coming in, it increasingly feels like a couple of individuals are disgruntled and everything has been blown out of proportion. It's clear Dyer wasn't happy from his Rotherham celebration but Troy dismissed most of the concerns on 3CR last night and was outright dismissive of the Wobby's reporting. Frankly, Frank Smith was slapped down so hard his head is probably still spinning now.
