With the squad we have, and more importantly the goals we have within the squad I really think Garcia will have a good season with us. 4 league wins out of 5 without getting out of second gear suggests to me that with a few tweaks and a bit of tactical nous we will do well. Mind you I thought that this time last year

You're moving the goalposts a bit.

The original point was *not* about experience working in England, it was about total experience as a manager/head coach.

Even if you look at it from the point of view of English experience only, I would hardly term a single season working in England "experienced".

EDIT: quoted the above before you added your last line, so my last line is a little bit redundant now. :)

Guess Garcia will bring his own men in so will Alec finally get the chop?

Maybe there won't be so many - think Bepe had 4 didn't he...

    I don't see Alec leaving.

The Pozzos and/or Duxbury have clearly identified the club's popular former staff and are doing their best to keep them involved with the club to help ensure fans remain invested. Renaming the Rous to the GT (good move IMO), Luther on comms (good idea, currently mixed success), re-signing Doyley and keeping Alec on the coaching side are good examples of this.

Holloway won't say a word while he's borrowing Ranegie. Even he isn't dumb enough to bite the hand that feeds him.

Very excited about this, the more I hear/read about him he seems the perfect fit for our squad/club. Unlike some of the other managers available, he could end up as the man to take us up and keep us up whereas Hughton etc wouldn't have lasted if we ever got promoted.

I'm personally very pleased with this appointment. I saw him come through the youth ranks at Barcelona and he did well in the first team for a while. I've always followed his career and I think he will do well at a club like Watford. It will be mutually beneficial.

He's still relatively new to management, but he has a lot of potential and has already been successful to varying degrees.

I think with the squad we have, we only really need someone competent to get us promoted.......Oscar Garcia is certainly that, and much more.

Maradona was once a fantastic player too, Leeds, but these days Deeney is far more useful to have in your squad.

Just for clarification - if we carry on winning, will it be because of the fantastic players we have, or because of the brilliant new manager? And if we start losing, will it be because of Garcia, or will it be because Beppe got all of the easy games out of the way early on?

With Garcia's contacts and the Pozzo reputation I expect us to sign at least 3 Barca wonderkids whilst he is here.

    Brightons song was:

    Oscar Garcia,
    He drinks Sangria,
    He came from Barca,
    To bring us joy,
    He's got stubble,
    Like Barney rubble,
Please don't take my oscar away...

If that helps at all... Although I'd prefer it at least if we had something to rival as good as Beppe's was.

Good lord, I stand corrected. FML, there goes my will to live. There really ARE people in the world who are that stupid.

The good news is he probably hasn't yet realised that "can't play against parent club" means Ranegie can't play against Watford, not Udinese. I daresay the imbecile will only realise Ranegie isn't eligible to play against us when he reads the programme on the morning of the game.

Hopefully he doesn't realise. We can take it easy and then contact the FA and get a 3-0 win because of an ineligible player

Is Holloway simple? He's loaned a player and is now having a dig about it. What an absolute d*ckhead.

When I lose the dressing room,
I'll ask Dyer, what will I do?
Will I resign or will I be sacked?
Here's what he said to me....

'Go **** yourself you ****. Yeah you. You ********. **** off.'
