I would laugh so much if this money from Deulofeu is used to extend the contracts of Deeney and Gray. Wilmot and Hughes yes, but it would be classic Pozzo to extend the contracts of two underperforming has-beens.

Yeah, isn't the Gosling thing just taken from his earlier post where he asked people to make up transfer figures we're likely to be linked with? Would be odd if not, as someone answered Gosling just before he then posted it, saying he had no idea whether it was true.

 

If it ever comes to pass that we're paying for Dan Gosling that's the entire fanbase #PozzoOut definitively in one fell swoop, isn't it?

 

I don’t mind Gosling as long as it’s Gosling and another CM. If it’s just him, then that’s shocking business. However Gosling on the bench instead of Garner, is much better.

Gino has 48 hrs to save our season. Fans are turning on him and the board big time on social media.

Nah. There’s always be some madman who will claim it’s a solid signing of a player who has played the vast majority of his career in the PL.

The lingering hope is that it’s a Guedioura/Watson type signing that surprises us. But they came in to top up existing strengths. We don’t have that.

 

Banter FC have worked their way through all the Premier League teams asking if they've got any midfielders that are surplus to requirements and have moved down to the Championship.

I mean, what kind of a signing would this even be? He's being discarded by Bournemouth as they have multiple better and younger options, if we somehow get promoted he's going to as much use as a chocolate teapot. And if we don't go up, we're pretty much setting our sights on mid table next season.

Dan Gosling is a seriously average player that is about to hit 31 in a couple of days.

We want to make the squad better not make it more ageing and mediocre.

 

Oh this is beautiful stuff from Gino, a Bournemouth cast off after they've signed Wilshere and Pearson.

 

Dan Gosling is the perfect replacement for Etienne Capoue. Nothing can go wrong now.

 

I never imagined that in my lifetime I'd see Gosling and Chalobah line up alongside each other for Watford.

 

Best hope is he fails the medical - which given his history is a definite possibility.

 

You realise everything is unofficial until the club announce it right?

I can only implore you to believe it’s true - you’ll be less disappointed that way.

 

Murray in the last transfer window and possibly Gosling in this one. Reminds me of the "scrimp and save" underwhelming signings we had to endure under Jack Petchey. (Remember Kerry Dixon!).Gino has morphed into Petchey!
