Got my Scottish pals to sing it to me in their broadest Scottish accent, sounded awful.

Living in Scotland its a nice feeling to have my pals thanking me for Anya as if I had something to do with it!

Really pleased for him!!

 

Doubt Strachan can believe his luck having Anya almost literally fall out the sky for him.

Anya will go down in history as the guy who saved the Union.

 

If Anya singlehandedly becomes the guy that puts Scotland into the world cup, every club will be begging us for him. The way he's developing, he could very well have played for England (correct me if I'm wrong here guys but I believe he's eligible for us because he's lived here for quite a long time of his life as a kid)

 

Unfortunately not, as its a standard clause in all England manager's contracts to only ever pick the same old players from the top 4 Prem clubs and play them in a dull-as-dishwater way.

 

That would be funny if it wasn't so damn true.

 

Just watched the highlights this morning. First time I have celebrated a scotch goal, hopefully the last also, want him to save his goals for us.

 

Hopefully, it'll boost his confidence and he'll kick on even more.

Yahoo had him down as a striker. I presume that's wrong or was that the position he played in?

 

I was told last night, by some Scotchlanderanians, that he got MOM - is that right?

 

Sky had him down as on the left of a forward 3. I reckon he was playing on the left. The guy's confidence has grown so much in the last year. He never used to run at defenders! What a guy! Also, I'm going to keep saying how humble he seems. He won't let it go to his head and he'll just kick on. Quickly becoming my favourite player - deserves a decent reception on Saturday against Charlton.

 

Most probably could've classed him as a striker last night he was on the left side but most of the time he was higher up the pitch. From what I made out Scotland were playing one man up top and two advanced wing men. I never seen who got man of the match but I would be surprised if he never got the reward he looked the best player on the pitch last night.

 

Scotland play one up front, and two very forward pushing wingers and Anya was on the left hand side of this.

 

Its a shame we don't play 4-3-3 with Anya as part of the front 3. Having less defensive responsibility last night meant he could just tear into the full back all game.

 

Even when he does play at the back he still causes enough trouble all game, Forest for example, Anya was having a field day with Cohen and he should have been booked a lot sooner than he was.

 

The best thing about this is that if we played without wingbacks, Iketchi would still find a place in the team.

 

Apart from the obvious talent , I love the way he regularily out jumps 6 ft opposition to win headers
