I thought we won there under Boothroyd with a last minute Clark Carlisle header so that would make 2 wins- not great out of 9 I agree
Setting off soon. Derby is just up the road from me. Nervous as hell. I hope Joka doesn't play too defensive. He got it very wrong against Ipswich. We need to play to our strengths, which is ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! COYH!
Hello Everyone, I'm a friendly Derby fan who has been browsing your forum. Just wanted to comment on how thing have gone for us recently. We have struggled of late as a result of key injuries to key players. Chris Martin has been missing for the last half dozen or so games and he has been instrumental to our play this season. We have also missed a defensive midfielder in either Eustace [yes Eustace] or George Thorne. Both Thorne and Martin should be back tonight and that may give us a lift. Derby v Watford matches have been quite entertaining of late and I expect this to be no different. I watched the game earlier this season and thought we were lucky in the second half to come away with three points [although we had a good first half]. We have always looked like scoring goals this season with players like Russell,Ward Bent,Ince and Martin, but our problem has been we have also looked like conceding. I would not bet that we keep a clean sheet tonight. Both teams like to play football so I will stick my neck out and predict a score draw. All the best DerbyDaz
Unless there's a flurry of late goals, pretty much every result has gone against us today and if we do lose tonight then our top 6 spot is very much in doubt. Scary how close this division is.
No-one's done us any favours. All down to us. Feeling very, very nervy about this game - was so glad it was going to be on TV. Now I'm not even sure I can face watching it (unless we go 2 up in first 10 minutes).
Going to the pub to watch it. Same as I did v Bournemouth. Different pub. Hopefully different result! Always a crappy feeling we those around you who don't care continue with their happy chat and you just feel utterly flat! COYH!!!!!
****ing hell you're a barrel of laughs. Why is our playoff spot in doubt if we lose tonight?? Get a grip.
Luton lost having been 2 up? Not much I know but given the results so far, it's the best I can offer.
luton are down to 9th! That's quite entertaining! "They're freeeeeeeee, Free-falling!" EDIT: They just conceded in the 90th +5 minute!
Millwall won-their first home win in 17 or something-better to get that out of the way before we play them next Saturday
Harsh. I don't think it's unreasonable to feel nervous about the implications of a loss tonight after the results this afternoon. No-one's saying it would mean we're out of the race.
no time to panic but its a fact that before the last game if results went for us we could have been 5 points clear of 3rd. if ipswich and derby win today we will be only 3 points above 7th. we can easily win (if we go for it and attack) but derby is not a happy hunting ground in previous years! personally, id still take a draw even considering their bad run of form as i think this is the hardest of the 7 left coyh
It's an incredible Championship Table. So many teams still in with a shout of the autos. I'm not going to hold my breath though. With our current form I would settle for a playoff spot.
Going to pub. A different one to the B'muff v WFC one coz if there's a similar first minute to that one I'd definitely get banned this time!
I would argue it's more of a must win game for us. We desperately need to recover some form. We are now out of the top 6 and need a boost. I suppose it depends on what you are expecting. Are you chasing the autos or would you be happy with a playoff spot?
Bournemouth throwing themselves around trying to win penalties, I see. The ref's holding firm so far, but the law of averages might come into play if they keep on.
We have won the play off final once but messed up on another 3 separate occasions. Last year was a bitter pill but the Wembley experience is fantastic.
