Yes, we can still sign players from all divisions in England. Jake Clarke-Salter didn't move on loan to a Prem club this window (Prem-Prem deals are closed now), surely he'd be a good option, and realistic too

But we're not going to stick rigidly to 4-3-3, there will be times when we play with 3 at the back. 3-4-3 like we did at Sheffield Wednesday (at least in the second half when we sacked off Murray for Perica), or a 3-5-2 with actual strikers (and hopefully Hughes and maybe Capoue in the midfield) are fine

 

Think he'd be decent in the championship but really sums up everything that went wrong with the transfer policy last summer

 

We have Cathcart, Ekong, Wilmot, Sierralta, Kabasele, Dawson - If Dawson went i'm not sure if he needs replacing by a loanee? Presume if we got a Prem loan they'd be expecting to start?

 

Hmmm, good point about a Prem loanee expecting to start. In any case, is 6 centre backs really excessive (I hope Sierralta hasn't got any delusions that he'd actually play much for us lol)

 

With what we have at CB we don't need him anymore. Sure, I'd happily have him around, but he's not vital to the team. I get the feeling Ivic will switch to a back four if Sarr stays, and will play with wingers in a 4-3-3 or such like system. If that's the case, we certainly do not need 6 CB's. 5 at the most.

 

I hope he does - but get the feeling we need to wait for a proper striker to be available first - be it in "good physical fitness levels" or not injured or not upsetting the wonga situation.

 

Massina could be a LCB when he gets fit

 

Dawsons gent does lots of business with Wet Spam. Will he leaving massively weaken our promotion chances? I would say not. Saving his wages will. A fee would be a bonus.

 

He is probably 5th choice here now anyway, in my opinion he is behind Wilmaot, Troost-Ekong, Kabasele and Cathcart. I am glad to see we are starting to move players on and hopefully we keep one or two and we can get on with our season.

Not his fault he was signed when we wanted someone who was actually better than what we had... but he's one of the thickest defenders I've ever seen. Even after our shitshow of a season, we could've stayed up with a win against Arsenal and this idiot gave away a penalty after 30 seconds when there was no immediate threat of a goal. Also, killed us in the Southampton game by doing the exact same thing just after we'd got back in the game - barging someone over with no chance of getting the ball.

Might be a nice guy but he's been nothing but a disaster for us and can't wait for him to leave to be honest.
