Has Dawson ever looked good in any system other than an ultra-defensive one? A chance he looks somewhat competent at somewhere like Burnley, but at Fulham he'd be exposed massively

 

When we are expressing concern about the quality of our defenders, we need to remember that Ream looked solid at this level.

 

Must be gutted they got rid of Mawson.

 

Dawson would be fine in the Championship... But would rather have T-E on balance, fresh start after last season.

 

He looked ok at West Brom for a while in the Prem a few years back, but I don't think he was exactly first choice. Might have played a bit more at RB there as well as CB.

Did get a few goals for a spell, was useful in Fantasy League as part of a defensive team.

Just not in the real league with us.

 

He mainly played at right back - albeit it was more like a flat back four.

 

Dawson to leave on Deadline Day and Mariappa will come back as the replacement. Calling it now.

 

I figured Troost-Ekong is the Dawson replacement...

 

I'd rather mapps as a squad player. He would be 4th or 5th choice and less of a ****, lower wages and we'd probably get at least some fee for Dawson.

 

Fulham will definitely be chasing Dawson now after lasts night performance. They are terrible.

Wouldn't be particularly bothered. Dawson's attitude is worse than Mapps and Troost King. Good riddance.

 

Where do you get this attitude issue from? Apparently he refused to play but played against Newport...can't have refused that much.

 

I thought he was ill, and hadn’t refused to play! It’s possible he had Covid as Fulham are saying one of of players they tried to get went down with it!

 

Amazing the lengths some players will go to to avoid signing for Fulham.

 

Would make much more sense - I've not seen anything other than a clearly untrue rumour to suggest his attitude is wrong.

 

SSN said on their transfer show last night that Fulham's interest in Dawson has 'cooled'. I suspect after the Villa game, they know they need better.

 

I would imagine Parker has a matter of hours left in his role given his results so far and his outburst against the owner's apology. That might affect signings ?

Yep. One tweet from someone "ITK" is enough to sully a reputation apparently. Pretty sure that the tweet in question also said that there'd be a story the following day in The Athletic about Dawson refusing to play. Still waiting for that...
