He clearly had too much pride to step down to assistant again.

 

Anyone put any money on him being next fulham manager second time lucky at 40/1?

 

My favourite bits in this thread were Unhappy Bunny saying Ighalo wasn't 'good enough', Hornet23 getting behind Owen Coyle for the Watford job and me calling Jokanovic the 'Serbian Sannino'.

 

I was right. Ig wasn't good enough in his first few games. Then he became very good, as I said. I was right about that too!

 

In 1982 a mate from my Sunday League team who was a huge West Ham fan went over to San Sebastian for the World Cup.

He and his mates got very very friendly with the Basque people as in a town above San Sebastian one of the football clubs played in claret and blue too. The WHU lads wore Basque colours and got bought drinks and were introduced to the local basque hard men crews.

All in all he had an amazing time and got off with a gorgeous local basque girl (as opposed to a girl who wears a basque), so much so he stayed out there for about six weeks after the tournament ended and went back a couple of times until he feared a shotgun wedding in the hills....

So, San Sebastian, its alright and if you express a hate for the posh and Real Madrid, you'll do fine...
