I think it's a bigger game. We now have real momentum and the chance of climbing out of the bottom 3 with this game. I think it's a 9 pointer
I started 2 seasons earlier when we were 8th in Div 4 before beating Darlington then Muff both 2-1 in 3 days to go top in GT's first season. Perfect time to start.
Agreed. If we win this, the probability might actually tip towards us staying up but lose it and we kill our momentum, see the gap re-open and give a massive confidence boost to one of our biggest relegation rivals. If anything, it's a 12 pointer.
Somebody mentioned, @LaClusazSki that only one or two of the injured players would start if fit. Looking at that list I would say it’s a lot more than that. The first 5 names mentioned would be starters
Yes, but if he comes back too soon - as I hope he will - he may be ineffective and it may even delay his full recovery. No offence, Nathan, but that would be nice.
Yep. Going to watch us play Darlington with 6000 others when we were 8th in Div 4 . When was yours RC ? It's difficult to work out your vintage.
Even with Ake back it's a very slow defence, much like ours. Deulofeu and Sarr should get a lot of joy tomorrow.
I agree with you except that, after his season with us, his intention was still to be a Chelsea player. He then had another season on loan at Bournemouth, as was the pattern at Chelsea at that time. It was after that season that Chelsea decided they would sell him.
No more silly bickering please. No more ego contests promoting one's knowledge of football or intellect. It's a match thread so lets keep it that way. And that post regarding the Samaritans HB1 is very much out of order. Please refrain from doing that in future.
I call the Samaritans every time Dawson is picked to play centre back. To be honest they've been very supportive.
I see Tranmere only picked up a point in a 0-0 at an absolutely atrocious Southend side. Let’s hope there’s a reverse effect for us in this game...
Serious question.....why is it? There's even a mention under your post about them. Cleyhorn has gone bleating to you like a schoolboy to the teacher, but he has to stop picking fights on this board with other users. It's tiresome. If he can't take it when someone gives it back, then he should not post at all. I take so much sh1t on this forum, there's even an entire p1ss taking post dedicated to me on here. Do I cry about it? No, I take it in good humour. You have to stop protecting the antagonists when they come crying to you just because they can't handle it. If someone comes at me trying to pick a fight, I will always protect myself. I will never stop that so you'll have to ban me if you don't like the way I defend myself from morons.
I haven't gone bleating or crying to anybody. But make it up why don't you? The Samaritans' reference was deemed unacceptable on a previous thread which you partook in. At the time, I thought it was fine. That was all. Answer my questions on your VAR thread. The appropriate place.
So far Saturday games have gone well for us, no one at the bottom has had a result , tomorrow big day we need to win , Aston Villa need to loose
You said you were going to report it on one of the posts that has now been removed, but now you deny it. Lol...….you must think everyone on here is stupid. I know what you did, but that's fine, I should imagine it's very embarrassing being exposed like this. But that's enough. Smudger has asked you to refrain from these attacks, so just stop with the lies and personal insults.
Jeez! No I did not say that! I said that one of my public (now removed) posts was in itself a report on something that had been deemed unacceptable previously. There has been no private contact between me and the mods nor did I suggest there would be. It really is time for you to stop digging. I'm happy for others to judge.
yeah but Newcastle drew and everybody below lost , if we win tomorrow and Villa loose we would be the only one in the bottom 8 to win
There is a Private messaging option for people to us on here to keep up their personal disagreements.. Anyway I think Southampton can be counted out of the relegation battle unless Ings gets injured. Newcastle got more injuries - must be running out of players!!? Just shows how disastrous losing 3-0 at home to Brighton and Burnley was - and 3-1 to West Ham.
I suspect their minds might have been elsewhere. Tuesday night’s game is huge for them, with the lure of a game v Man U on the horizon.
As a moderator I still see too many times people calling other members by names that assume they are challenged in various ways. Merely for stating opinions that they find objectionable. This has to stop. We do not want the forum to descend into what much of the internet has turned into a place filled with unnecessary trolling and bullying. There are the PM and ignore functions available as well. I reiterate I took the action on my own recognizance after seeing you HB1 and Cley arguing once more and yet again derailing a thread. Insults are not merited. Both of you should know better being mature in years. There is no bias from me or any of the staff either. Cley has been warned previously about some of his comments in fairly strong terms. That pertaining to the Samaritans who do a tremendous job saving lives for people at the very nadir of existence popped up after I left the forum for a couple of hours. I would hope both of you can see fit to treat each other with more civility from now on and if you cannot please use the functions of the ignore button. It's a New Year and there are far more serious issues in the world at large than these arguments. Please take a look at the larger picture. You both are and have been valued members of the forum and loyal Hornet fans certainly from my standpoint (aside from the needless poking with sticks that goes on in the forum with distinct cliques) so please let it remain that way otherwise there will be infractions. Nobody else is keen to see these outbursts on what should be a family friendly forum for a family friendly club.
