The way to get some comeuppance against this lot is to beat them at their place on Sunday & send them spiralling back to the Champ. In any event the situation there looks like it's starting to play out for Eddie. He must be thinking, if he can keep them up this season, it will definitely be time for him to move on to something better in the summer & that is when the pack of cards will fall down. I give Bournemouth another 2 seasons in the Prem at most. Not saying we will do much better.
Burnley have 5 loseable games in a row too. But really if we win 7 we should be safe regardless of what others do. It's about us.
Why will Bournemouth be up for this game against any other game? Also aren't they in a bit of a defensive crisis currently?
Bournemouth 0-4 Watford Easiest 3 points we'll pick up this season. Out of the relegation zone for the first time in ages and it'll be known as the game that sent Bournemouth spiraling back down to League 1, where they belong. All the 'we're going down 100% wah wah wah' group claim that they always knew we were going to survive. RP to score twice, as the final whistle blows he takes a massive steaming dump on his shirt after the match infront of the away fans and punches a child in the face.
I heard King is injured for this one. He always has his best games of his career playing. Without him, I can only see a Watford win.
Hopefully the team isn't as overconfident as us fans. Loving the fact that every match counts unlike the last few seasons. Very nervous/excited for this match! Probably a loss, possibly a draw, hopefully a win! 1-2 and Watford out of bottom 3
Their front players will have too much pace for our depleted, old, slow, injury hit back line. Only two of their injured players would actually be the AFCB starting 11. It is a myth that they are a 'injury hit' club. I just think we will try and stroll through this game. Under NP you would hope not. It is only a feeling l have. To win would be great . Let's wait and see.
I too have a feeling this is a banana skin. We need to keep the intensity up. My concern is this will be seen as an easier game against an injury hit club on the slide. In reality it is away to a bunch of ref surrounding cheats who have been established in the prem for as long as us now and will put up a damn good fight. They arent a bunch of newly promoted mugs. This is going to be tough. Win this and I think we are staying up. Lose and its going to be a real struggle. 2-2 There will be a number of incidents involving VAR and probably another major injury for us or a sending off.
Yep, no way the players are going to underestimate Bournemouth with Pearson in charge. The fans might do but that means absolutely nothing.
Assuming Cathcart is fit and reports are he is, the team pretty much picks itself: I'd favour Dawson at RB where he has looked a lot more comfortable than CB. Mariappa is a Watford legend in my book, but he is capable of bad performances at this level. He's also capable of good ones so let's keep our fingers crossed. Masina has improved a lot, although obviously Femenia would have been preferred. The rest of that team will be pretty scary for Bournemouth. We will have too much for them.
Lawro's prediction... 'Look at league form and there is only one winner - the resurgent Hornets - but I still think the Cherries are capable of springing a surprise. Prediction: 2-1'
Chris Mepham is out for practically the rest of the season too. They put on a terrible display defensively against West Ham and if Ake is also out they really will be scraping the barrel. We must take full advantage.
From there local rag Nathan Ake (hamstring), Adam Smith(foot), Callum Wilson (thigh), David Brooks (ankle), Joshua King (hamstring), Jack Stacey (thigh), Arnaut Groeneveld(foot), Charlie Daniels (knee) and Lloyd Kelly (thigh) have all been battling injuries. Add Mepham to that list now. Obviously says they have been battling injuries so some of them might be back against us. Definitely sounds like Ake is still out though.
Today in his pre-match "presser" Angel Howe alluded to a couple of surprise returns for Sunday. Could be Ake and King?
Need to sort out our goal difference! https://www.worldfootball.net/alltime_table/eng-premier-league/

Incredible, like a lot of us, when I first started watching the Horns we had zero seasons in the top division, also zero seasons in the one below. Amazing, but I'm not going down the look how far we've come route.
For the very old fans it must be incredible to think that since promotion to the second tier in 1979; that we are now in our 39th from the last 41 seasons in the top two tiers.
It's possible I went to the Forest game, I don't recollect it but I was only 10 then. I didn't go to the Spurs home game in 2006 as I was at a wedding that day.
