The conversation began on hb1's own VAR thread. It should have stayed there. It's perfectly reasonable for me to ask him some questions around his continued insistence that officials and VAR have it in for us in particular especially when an objective report rubbished that view although hb1 bizarrely claimed it exonerated him. I fully understand that these arguments should be had on the appropriate thread but not that they should be entirely conducted via PM. Or that they should be ignored. A public debate is informative. If I was to nail my colours to the mast consistently regarding a particular topic then I'd at least have the good grace to answer specific questions which challenged my view.
For the record, I just posted a phone number. There was no reference to the Samaritans from me as I didn't want to cause offence or embarrassment. It was not posted as a joke, but clearly it has been taken the wrong way.
Nothing has been 'taken the wrong way'. You knew perfectly well what the number was. So considerate. I simply googled it to check seeing as it had appeared before and there was no reference made then either. Now you add 'amateur physcology' to your skill set and because I challenge you over VAR apparently need suicide advice! You couldn't make it up! Do you think I'd simply phone an unknown phone number because I'm somehow in need because I have the audacity to disagree with you over VAR? Simply on your recommendation? The whole thing is now bizarre!
Genuine question: who decides/how do you decide when a thread has been 'derailed'? Does each thread start with a pre-set path? Personally, I think the 'derailers' in this case are among the more interesting contributors to this forum and by attempting to sanitise their posts you risk diminishing the site 1-2 away win
Harsh on Cleyhorn, Smudger. HB1 spoils and derails numerous threads with 'his and his take only' on all things WFC. Hats off to Cleyhorn for the efforts he's put in to both challenge and combat HB1's pernicious postings. The Forum was a better place when he flounced off.
We play Muff, Villa, Wham, Brighton and Burnley away in the second half of the season having picked up just 4 points at home against these sides. Realistically we probably need to win 3 of these games plus 4 others to stay up.
The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering silmite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that the thread had been derailed.
Forum moderation should derive from a mandate from the masses etc etc... Anyway I fancy a win. Hope we can get a decent lead and blood JP
Brooks was a guaranteed starter as was Smith. King I wasn't sure about so I checked. Last season 35 apps, season before 33, season before 36. This season 16 before his injury
There are several members on this forum who get upset if you make a comment they disagree with. They seem to think it is their forum and are the elite members. I put a pile of crap on here, place some good comments and a few ambiguous comments. I don't care about those l upset nor do l feel l must be right about all my own comments. Apart from the financial issues. This forum is just for fans to express their opinions. The club doesn't care, other teams don't care. All our views do not matter in the long run. I get pissed off when we lose, a few hours later and the feeling has gone. I still feel that we will get relegated this season. NP has given us hope after JG useless pre season preparations and QSF just being useless. The fans can smile more under NP. Let's hope he can make it all work.
Lots. But would you prefer reading a post from a lurker about playing Chalobah over Hughes or a multi episode HB1 v Cley bunfight?
Indeed. So we all expect you to be in intimate association with some porcelain by 15.30 today then ...
I just assumed it was an official recognition of your contribution. Your colon has won us more points than Gray or Pereyra's contributions.
Weather is quite calm up here today but It's going to be blowing a gale on the sth coast this pm. The match will be a lottery.
It’s a bright crisp sunny morning down here at the moment. Slightly breezy but nothing crazy.. I reckon it’ll stay fine this afternoon too.
