You should have seen us jump when Cardiff got their penalty and scored it. I was tasting it then. Surely we could get a winner in the last 15 mins, we were all over them despite the 10 men. The Hull players looked distraught at the end of their game. It was all written.

I do hope we won't be playing him in the play offs. If Almunia and Bond are both out (as looks more than probable), we have to sign a keeper on loan urgently.

Absolute rubbish. He was like a rabbit caught in the headlights. The whole defence was pointing telling him to come out for their first goal and put his foot through it, but he dilly dalleyed at the edge of the area which meant Ekstrand had to desperately get a foot in with results we all saw.

As for the second, his positioning was all wrong and he had no strength in his hands to either push it out or over the bar. Just awful.

I know he's young and inexperienced and that's why we urgently need at least one (preferably two) keeper on loan for the playoffs.

 

I'm devastated because we won't go up through play offs....

 

In all honestly im not that gutted because we shouldnt have even had the opportunity to go up automatically anyway. Hull missed a last minute penalty then Cardiff went up the other end and scored with their own penalty. On another day Hull would have scored that and it would have been game set match so we were lucky to even be in the position we were.

 

I blame the Ref..... Another Stonewall Penalty! How different would it have been if we had scored from that. Someone please do a montage of all our pen claims this season.

I'm gutted. Everything seemed to be going against us today..yet in the end, we were still 1 goal away from the PL. And the division's top scorers couldn't find it. And then the league's great counter attackers got done on the break themselves.

So next week its a side who scraped into 6th with an injury time winner v a side who were so so close to automatic promotion and who've lost both their keepers and their in form striker.....

I think most of us think there's only one likely outcome...

Looking at the 2 penalties given at Hull how was Hoggs challenge not given as a pen.Deeney now out for 1st leg,why the feck he keeps chomping at ref's and people around him is beyond me,and kicking ball away is pure stupid.

Fans are gonna have to support Bonham cos both Almunia is out with a hamstring and Bond,broken nose.We have no one else.

 

It just wasn't our day. So exciting though. I can't blame the young keeper for either of the goals and feel so sorry for him. I have nothing but contempt for anyone having a go at the lad today. There were many other reasons why we didn't make it, not least the penalty not given and Deeney's unnecessary bookings and sending off.

Not hopeful about our chances in the play-offs, but really, who knows?

I'm still waiting to hear what people disagree with in what I wrote and whether they believe Bonham should start in the playoffs, because so far I've heard not one word of sensible opinion on that.

 

Bonham was out of his depth yeah, tbh though what on earth was he to do with the second? Stand in his goal and wait for them to come and take a shot? Genius on McCormacks part and bonham was helpless either way
