It's looking a bit relegationy isn't it? Those secure footings will soon be in trouble when we can't shift a £40m dud in the Championship.
I’ll suggest minted sugar daddy with endless funds from dodgy sources. I’ll go for a South American so we have our own identity.
Even an 0-8 result doesn’t leave you displeased. . Joking aside I don’t want the owners to leave but hopefully their limitations are being laid bare to the “Gino knows best” types who consider him above criticism.
We haven't won in 9 Premier League games, we haven't kept a clean sheet in something like 25 games, we've now conceded something like 35 in our past 15 competitive fixtures, we have the worst defence in the league - that's a fact, not an opinion - we are bottom of the league, the confidence of the players is absolutely shot, we equalled the record cup defeat a few months ago and almost equalled the Premier League defeat today. Yes, we are in disarray.
The confidence seemed to be there last week. It’s been a rough start to the season which is obvious but there is a lot that’s right with the club. Do you want Gino gone?
An absolute mess, yet you get the usual brigade clapping their happy tune, defending the owners while merrily gulping down Pozzo’s length.
Same. He is treating us as a conduit to traffic players for his dealings. He doesn't give a **** about the club's success beyond being a good enough shop window for the latest vulnerable south American teen to have been sucked in by his web.
You do what you need to do m8. I'll be clapping them all the way, no matter the result or performance because I'm a real fan.
Sorry, don't know what came over me. Maybe it was something to do with getting a good thrashing this afternoon
Is it? Why? It’s a result in a game of football. It’s a horrible result but still just a result. Do you think Sunderland fans really care about it now? Doubtful
'It happens' Well it ******* well shouldn't. It wasnt a random throw of some die. It was a capitulation by some millionaires with more privilege than guts. I bet Sunderland fans still dont like to think about it and if not, it's still hardly inconsequential if it takes 40 years to soften the blow.
Gino is pretty ruthless. He will not want the club to be relegated. There will be reinforcements in January. I expect he and Duxbury will also be assessing Giraldi's efforts scouting wise and in terms of recruitment because it is no up to par. The failure to recruit young British talent led to Scott leaving and there are bargains to be had if you look carefully or indeed make use of the scouting network fully. Todays performance was unacceptable. A defeat was the only result on the cards but the manner and abject capitulation is what irks me. However asking for Gino to leave is an idiotic reaction. The club has been taken forward on every level while respecting it's traditional values. Fans needs some perspective while they also need to make their views known to Mr.Pozzo and the club not by virtue of hyperbolic insults but reasoned argument and communication to the appropriate places within the club. They do listen. Some fans also need to develop hobbies outside of just following the club. It's not good for their health to be following the club this season.
This guy had Gino servicing him from behind while writing his post. A point to note, the club may have moved forwards but at the moment it’s going back fast. Pozzo out.
It's moving backwards from a forward position he put it in. He brought us up so he has every right to take us down. He'd have to take us into administration to leave us any worse than he found us.
