We've won all 3 of our Tuesday night league matches this season. The last Head Coach we had who lost his first match in charge at the Vic was Dyche. Zola did in the league, but by then we'd played a League Cup match at home. I think we will be unchanged, with Deeney coming on earlier than he did on Saturday. As others have said, it looks a better time to play Forest than had we had them a month ago, but there's always the Britt 'revenge' angle, just as McGugan scored against them for us last season. A win would be great but in the context of the season, a draw may not be the end of the world. After all, we're top, the others are chasing! It's still very early in the season for anybody to know how it's going to work out..but the exciting and equally nervous thought right now is IF we could win tomorrow and Saturday and against Derby etc, we could start to do what Leicester and Burnley did around this time last year and start pulling away....wow what a thought!
Antonio and Assombalonga will give our defenders a lot of problems, but our midfield is likely to swamp them. 4-2 Watford.
You and me both, love the mid week games and hope we all really get behind the boys tomorrow night. Doubt I will be very focused at work tomorrow, COYH !!
1-1, we score a late one and then also concede in the 90th minute to spark s forum frenzy about late goals.
Said goodbye to a life long Horn today, RIP Kev Price. Apparently there is a tribute in tomorrow's match day magazine. Kev used to play for the Travelling Hornets football club team - a motley crew if ever there was! Quite a lot are still ST holders. Give an extra shout for Kev tomorrow lads and lasses.
I have a good feeling about this game. Unfortunately that good feeling is being tainted by the bad feeling of knowing that whenever I have 'a good feeling', things always go wrong.
Are you still stalking me? I thought youd had restraining order imposed of a minimum distance of 3 forum posts
Hi! Coming to the Vic for the first time since Peterborough (1-0)two years ago. What a finnish for that game! Sheffield was amazing. Just to ask: is there a pub we would be able to watch an early Champions league game at five? Back in Finland tomorrow if the planes work ok.
From BBC match preview: "Calf injuries rule out Forest's Craig Cathcart and Keith Andrews and they are without the suspended Henri Lansbury" #soldfamilysilver #pozzosout
Whilst I think it goes beyond saying that a loss would be the worst result here; I personally believe that a loss would be less favorable than a draw. In my opinion a win would be better than both a draw AND a loss, which can only lead to the conclusion that we should try for a win IMHO. Win>draw>loss personally IMHO!!! COYH!!!
You could try Walkabout on the High Street, their website says they have it on. How are you getting to Watford/where are you staying, I'll try my best to direct you.
Couldn't have put it clearer myself. Plus, the fans on the Forest forum seem to have a bad feeling about this game which is exacerbating my bad feeling about my good feeling.
Back in 2007 when we were romping the league for the first 15 matches, I felt that we could take all comers and then came the WBA match, I put on an array of bets including a WFC to win 5-0 bet such was the confidence. Then it all fell apart. So I'm only cautiously optimistic about tonight.
Apparently Vydra has scored 15% of his goals for Watford against Forest, and with Assombalonga being an absolute banker I'm going for 1-1 with those two the scorers.
What's the weather like down in Hertfordshire? I'm in Huddersfield at the moment and the wind is pretty bad.
I'm sure by the evening the wind is supposed to drop a bit but it will still be quite windy. Now the ground has 4 sides with roofs it may abate the wind a bit further but it will still swirl around a bit. There has hardly been any rain so far today, mostly it fell between 7-8am.
Great to see another Finn going to the Vic. My brother ReindeerHorn is the keeper of the Finland Hornets flag. He has a season ticket in the Rookery singing section (aka 1881). You should say 'moikka' to him! I could ask him to take the flag tonight.
