Of course it would tempt him, regardless of what he says in the media. He's 28 next month and I doubt he'll get the opportunity to play for another club chasing a potential Premier League title and the opportunity to play CL football, would also help in his efforts to play for England.

I don't care how much he goes for, as long as the Pozzo's have a decent enough replacement - I just hope any Ighalo and Deeney transfers are wrapped up nice and early in the Summer so we can focus on building a new team, with a new Head Coach.

He's nowhere near good enough to play in the CL. If they buy him it's just to take the ****.

It doesn't even have to be that. I'm just glad it isn't a big 6 club. It sticks it to the glory hunter fans. That's what I like about.
Filberts seems a decent bloke but otherwise like most I'm neutral about Leicester. As long as it isn't Utd/city/Spurs/Arsenal etc I'm delighted.
    It's getting boring otherwise.

Im more sick of the premier league story of the last 20 years where it's the same 6 teams and that is all that gets reported

Well firstly, I never said "everyone" is genuienly happy, I have no idea why you are challenging me on something I didn't say. Bizarre!

Secondly, in the space of 15 minutes you have said

Once again HB1 your stubbornness and absolutism has forced you into a dead end

    Deeney to do a Luther.
Leave for a club record fee.. feel a little 'lost' at his new club.. come back less than a year later for half the price!

Hey perhaps the Foxes were really interested in Capoue?

I tend you write how I speak, so if you want to pull out a phrase from it's context, and post it in isolation in order to twist the meaning, then I'm happy for you to do it, if that approach works for you.

You challenged what I had initially stated, which was no one was genuinely was happy for them, then I happily conceded some ground on that to say ok, probably some are genuinely happy, but my point was that there is a certain amount of hysteria surrounding the Leicester story and far too many people are pretending to be happy for Leicester.

Of course in a conversation that works, but on a forum, people like yourself will pull up phrases to mock it's meaning in order to win a point. You will get a few "likes" and a small victory, so well done. But after all it's just an opinion. I believe in a few weeks from now people will be sick to death of Leicester.

QSF playing him out of position all season would be reason alone for Deeney wanting to leave .

You mean the position he's excelled in this season? Meaning he's now added another string to his bow rather than just being seen as a battering ram?

  12. IRB

Its not twisting the meaning though is it? What you said is a direct contradiction

You said "No one is genuinely happy for them" then 15 minutes later said "Some people are genuinely happy for them". No 'twisting' of meaning is needed, the contradiction speaks for itself. It also isn't an opinion, you tried to state a fact which firstly isn't true and secondly could never be proven true anyway without being able to read people's minds

Agreed to some extent, and if you had said this initially instead of windmilling in with a hyperbolic statement about "no one being genuienly happy for them" you wouldn't have been pulled up on it. You brought this on yourself with a silly initial statement, no one twisted your words

I explained what it exactly was. Not a contradiction unless presented in the way you put it. I know your agenda of trying to undermine the true meaning.

I said one thing, then conceded some ground and admitted that some people were probably genuinely happy. This is what you do in a normal conversation.

What you do is post both statements together in isolation to twist the meaning. "Look everyone, I've posted two contradictions, (but I know he was really clarify his position, but I don't want to be highlighted)" I'm sure if I could be bothered I could do the same to you, but I don't have that intention, as I'm not bothered about winning points off people. I just post an honest point-of-view. Of course it's an opinion, how could it possibly be fact?

It's quite sad, that so many forum members want to start petty fights. You're actually a decent poster, but maybe have been conditioned by the usual attitude of this forum as you've been on here for a long time. You probably think it's ok to twist a meaning win a point, but you are better than that.

    Unbelievable

You are literally unable to hold your hands up and say "yep, I was wrong" are you? Not just in this thread, but i've seen you do it with myself and others before

You genuinely seem to think that I (and other on this forum) are twisting your words and trying to start 'petty fights' when we pull you up on unquestionably incorrect statements

    1. What the **** are you talking about? You're constantly trying to make yourself look clever on here but it never, ever works. I had hoped that you would have learnt this by now.

    2. Nope, sorry, that's just entirely untrue. Quite simply put, you are just wrong! :forehead:

    3. Believe it or not mate, Blackburn's story was a very long time ago and (I would imagine) before the time of many of the posters on here. Therefore, the Leicester story is a first for many of us.

    4. You keep talking about sheep and following the herd, but in reality the neutrals are just so gobsmacked (and rightly so) that a new team has come out of nowhere this season and won the league. Again, what you've said is just not true :yawn1:

How do you know that people are 'pretending' to be happy for Leicester?

Your arrogance lately is matched only by your argumentative nature. Honestly, I think you'd start an argument with a brick wall given the chance.

I've given up trying to have a debate with HB1, after his hilarious reactions to selling Assombalonga and 'Future England No.1' Jonathan Bond.

It's akin to slamming your head into a brick wall for an hour.

How can I be wrong when I'm posting an opinion? This is what I really find irritating. I post a different opinion to you, but instantly I have to admit I am wrong. It's just ridiculous.

You are twisting the meaning. I have shown that, and anyone that wants to go back to look, with an honest approach, will quite clearly see that I said and the meaning behind it. So you can deny it as much as you like, but you have started a petty fight, for a reason known only to yourself.

Why do you people always argue. Just let people give their opinion and move on. If you don't like, ignore it or give your opinion kindly and keep it to football. If people are being difficult or giving you a hard time just ignore them. Some of you on this are so childish.

I was one of the first to see through Bassini, when you were telling me how wrong I was and singing his praises. I see you strangely forget to mention that, which is surprising as you seem to have instant memory on other past threads.

I think it's in your best interests to discover that 1 (or at most 2) people on this forum actually use the term "melt". 1 of whom was agreeing with you on the other Leicester thread I believe.

A whole load of others copied it to take the ****.

So personally, I wouldn't be such a melt about the phrase.

You say you're not a sheep, yet use the in word "melt" because lots of others are now saying it. You don't realise how influenced you are, but that's fine.

My opinion is different from yours and I post my true feelings, not opinions that I know will generate plenty of "likes" for popularity reasons.

Nope.. United won the first two Premier league titles.
Blackburn won the third title & yes there was a lot of neutral support for them at the time.

PS There's more hype surrounding the Premier league these days than there was back then.. football in general actually.. perhaps everything in general?
But should we let that stop us acknowledging a great achievement? Should we really accuse people of jumping on (the media) bandwagon because they are humble enough to recognise a job well done?

You know sometimes the media hype is for good reason. It may well be OTT.. and there may well be some folk who join in without really understanding why.. But that isnt all of us & it gets irritating to read otherwise.

I like the word 'melt'. I'm sorry if you don't like that.

And yes, that's fine. Feel free to not respond to a single one of my points.

I'm going to leave you now to stew in your anti-Leicester fury. I've no idea what got you there in the first place, or why you love an argument so much, but I don't really care. You are simply not worth the time or effort. Don't bother responding, because I won't read it. See ya.

Were they points? I just thought you were ranting.

Point 1. I'm clever, but it doesn't work.
    Point 2. I'm wrong
Point 3. Blackburn won the league a long time ago
    Point 4. You're a sheep.

I can't see where I can really respond to any of it, as they are not questions. They are mostly just your opinion, which is fine.

PS. You will read this as you cannot help yourself.

To get back on topic. I have a bad feeling about this. What player wouldn't love the chance to play champions league football. To give himself a bigger chance of playing for England. Worrying times indeed.

I'm not that worried. He's done his time here, shown us loyalty and it would be a great move for him. He's not going to stay here forever.

Back when Blackburn won the Premier league I had a real soft spot for Rovers. It was lovely to see a small team stick it to Manchester Utd in particular. This time round its nice to see Leicester doing so well, but thats where any loyalties end. It's fair enough if others want to celebrate with the Leicester fans, but for many of my own reasons I wont be one of them.

Do you never stand back HB1 and look at your arguments with other posters?

Every couple of weeks you seem to get in an argument and you always are fighting your side single handedly when a group of others are arguing against you. Every time.

Do you never ask yourself if maybe you are the problem? And not the other posters?

There is always one common denominator, you.
