Very pleased we got Karnezis - good leader, bosses his area, good save reactions and catches rather than always punches. Have a hunch that Zeegelaar will do very well - technically good and pretty mobile. Know much less about Wague but still pleased we got another CB in due to recent injuries etc. All in all we have had a wonderful window and not ripped off. Gino has honoured his promises to Silva in respect of resources. Chalobah is the bargain of the century but Richarlison is the player with the most potential I have seen for many a year.

 

We have had a bargain window. Not a good window. People can spurt about value for money, but other teams have bought better players, though they may have 'overpaid' for them.

 

For every Chalobah, there will be an Andre Gray/Ellington.

 

I don't get whether this writing off of Gray already is another forum in-joke or serious?

 

Betting was suspended on Sky Bet earlier for a Newcastle move only for the Newcastle option to be removed in the last 15 minutes. May be nonsense but a chance something is going on there.

He's made two league starts for us, surely that's enough time for any even minded pragmatic football fan to make a definitive judgment on him?

 

Kind of get your point but I think Newcastle, Brighton and a few other teams fans would rather have had our window than theirs, albeit with an hour to go.

Think we've been OK with decent signings, if no galactico, as long as we don't sell the family silver in the next hour. Chalobah goes without saying but so far Richarlison looks as if he could a diamond also.

 

I'm hoping the club will have the good grace to tell us when they are done for the night so we can all go to bed! Sure they tweeted last year when it was over?

 

Carrillo, Gray, Chalobah, Karnezis and Richarlison will all prove to be excellent signings, as will Will Hughes in the long run. The likes of Zeegelaar and Wague in particular are uninspiring and I would have liked to have seen us sign players of highly quality for those positions, but all in all I think we've done fairly well.

 

I think Molly is a good players and has been very unlucky with injuries. I think he'll prove a very good signing.
