unfortunately not. here is what i have heard actually happened.

tommy was on his way from cardiff to watford for a medical. his car broke down on the M4 at about 3pm. he eventually got that fixed and got back on the road by 7:30pm. unfortunately heavy traffic meant that he only arrived at london colney at 9.00pm, and everyone had gone home. after phoning round a few close friends including lloyd doyley and his brother connor he discovered that all the players and staff had adjourned to vicarage road for a disco to celebrate the signing of toszer and diakite. he got back in his car and ended up getting lost on the ring road eventually arriving at the vic at 10.45pm. however he still had plenty of time to sign the paperwork. unbelievable the black pen he was using to dot the i's and cross the t's ran out of ink, and there was not another black pen in the entirety of vicarage road. they ended up crossing the t's and dotting the i's with a red biro which is against football league and fifa regulations. so although the paperwork was all submitted before 11pm it was done so incorrectly. tommy has returned to cardiff.

Think I'm probably the only one who doesn't want him back. Prefer to remember him in his prime, not on his way down the leagues.

Same, I'm also unsure as to whether he can contribute the way he used to. Not sure how he is as a backroom figure, but I guess in a team where you doubt where there heart is a times and whether they care, you know that Tommy Smith does without a doubt

 

I think the idea is he would be more a 15-20 game a season player and positive dressing room influence.

I'm sure he can still dig out a few crosses from the by line though.

 

Well the image I have in my head is that he comes back and scores the winner at Loftus Road to secure us the title.

 

If we are getting him back I reckon he could still do a good job in the Championship, will add experience to the team and will keep the fans onside.

 

If he comes back it's for the benefit of one person only - him.
