Clint Easton is returning? Happy days

 

You joke, but he came through the academy at the same time as Tommy. Left footed, similar attributes, just needs a chance and a return home and he could be great. Plus, if what I'm hearing is true, he could be a crucial factor in whether Tommy says "yes" or not, as he wants to link up with his old pal.

 

Every Spring, I go down and spend a few weeks with Michel Ngonge and his family and very nice people they are. And funnily enough, this year we got talking about Clint Easton. There's some serious bad blood there and for this reason, I can't see Clint signing for us this Summer at all.

 

My understanding is the bad blood is because Clint stole Michel's colouring pens after he dropped them without noticing once.

Clint was very quick on the draw.

 

I for one am personally disgusted that no-one has set up a thread clamouring for the return of Paul Devlin.

Richard Flash would dive in with a two footed, knee high tackle on the opposition start striker in the first 30 seconds of the game, just to let him know not to be a fancy dan. Back in those days refs didn't even give a foul for it.

Devlin used to take on the whole of the opposition team and then, stop, turn around and take them all on again. He was a bit of a **** for doing that.

 

I will never forget the mockery Paul Devlin made of Lee Cook.

Well I saw him the other day in St Albans, he's still in Hertfordshire. Clearest indication yet he's signing.

What I heard:
He would like to come back but WFC aren't interested.
A few clubs are with Reading being favourites if their take over happens.
But nothing is going to happen until August.

Brentford are planning to loan him to Udinese with a view to Udinese and Parma each buying 50% of his contract in January so they can loan him to Watford before the end of the next transfer deadline.

Ive heard that the plan is for tommy to sign for brentford, and we will then sign him from them on a season long loan deal.

Guess that's this thread over until at least January.

 

So if this is the end of the conversation for Tommy when he's only 11 pages ahead of Troy, I guess that by the end of the transfer window Tommy will no longer be a legend in these parts.
