I come in peace from the Yellow Order. :) First of all, i know there is already a thread on this named 'watford ultras', but i thought i'd start another one to hopefully get away from that image.

A couple of months back we started a group to improve the atmosphere at the vic, as we felt it was becoming really poor. The aim of our group was/and still is to create a better atmosphere at home games by singing for the full 90 minutes and colourful support, e.g. flags, banners, etc. I know that we were originally called 'ultras', but we've subsequently removed that from our name, after realising that this was a thoughtless move as we want our group to tie in with the 'family club image' that the club has always had.

We congregate together in RS4 in the rookery, (top-right, facing the pitch), and are always to welcome to new people, age regardless and no matter how ugly you are! All we want to do is improve the atmosphere at vicarage road, and hopefully we're succeedingat the moment, but we need more people up in RS4 to make us louder! We have a facebook group at current (search for yellow order and it should come up), and also a small forum( http://theyelloworder.proboards.com/index.cgi ). Please support us in any you can as we're all supporters of the same football team, we of course understand that there'll be some fans who may not wish to stand and sing all game, and we respect that, we just want like-minded fans to come to RS4 at the top to join us! Hope to see some of you in the near future and hope you enjoy our displays in the future!

I'm now completely open to abuse any of you lot want to give me!

You're welcome here, even though I prefer the Ultras name. Anybody trying to make the atmosphere at the Vic better by whatever means gets my vote. H3ll, we'll even sticky this thread for a week.

Suprised the club hitlers don't tell you to sit down as well.

If you breathe out of sync down at the front the stewards start shuffling around and taking action.

Did you bring the flags the other night? Good effort

To tie in with the club's family image?

So you named yourself in homage to the orange order? A bigotted, sectarian, firebrand movement.

    I'll sing to that.

    Good Luck.

Didn't Yellow Order have a hit with Luther Blisset / Ingerland.

Good idea, hopefully get the numbers up then would be an idea to move to the vicarage road end.fair play for trying to get atmosphere going though.

At first, i thought this was a brilliant idea as we all know how poor the atmosphere can get at the vic. But being a season ticket holder near the back of rs4, there has just been an influx of chavvy 14 year olds who imo seem to be there for the hype, like the image of being an 'ultra' etc squeezing into a few rows where they don't have seats, obstructing views and not even singing!
Surely the idea would be for people to buy seats in rs4 so the singing is spread over the section, which would probably make the song more likely to catch on with the rest of the stand?

Another good point needs to be people who can have a singsong and then go for a beer or 3 after not twelve year olds.

The lads with the drum are making a great effort (have done for a while now after toning down their abuse) and really help the atmosphere but there are now kids who I wonder are actually Watford fans and there just for the fact they can liberally say the word c*** and sneak a cheeky Carlsberg in under age. It is certainly mixed from me, great to see fans make an effort but will all the so-called 'lads' stay there for the rest of the season.

I noticed last home game the stewards were starting to get interested in all the standing and were making people sit. Can not see them lasting long if the club are not going to allow that (and people who have already got season tickets in that area will most likely and rightly get peeved about people blocking their views if they choose not to stand)

All the more reason for the club to create a DESIGNATED AREA for people who want to sing and chant, as I have advocated for years!!!

Well done "The Order" keep up the good work :sign15::sign15::sign15:

One thing I have to say is I am not too impressed with either name the group has come up with so far :frown:

Having said that I don't have any alternative suggestions at present, but I'll work on it?

Does anyone realise they march to the "Johnny Todd / Z cars" music in Northern Ireland?

We should change that for a start, if we want to be a family club.

I don't sit that far away and its fantastic to hear the noise you are making without the abuse to fellow fans

    keep it up

Agreed, the more noise the better to improve the atmosphere at the Vic.

Fantastic stuff good on yer. Were you the lot on the right away side at Forest ? If you were you did a sterling job, keep it up. Yellow order is a bit funny handshakey kinda sectarian thang, another name might be more suitable. But hey, its just a small grumble from an old un. Keep up the good work and me n Spud Junior will try n join you in when we're next at the Vic. Good lads.

Ps dont bother with the drum, that is annoying.

    What a load of *******s!

Watford fans are the most fickle moaney bunch you could ever expect to meet

Take it from someone that has been going to the Vic for a long time, If we are winning people will sing / make noise. If we are losing / playing badly they wont!

Getting A bunch of 12 year olds (who think they are football hooligans!) in one section of the ground is not going to make any difference to the atmosphere!

the atmosphere has been slightly improved since they started up, so some credit is required. however not sure on the name, sounds like some kinda cult or something. wouldnt be surprised if you all walked around in yellow hooded robes or something.

Good luck to them - anybody making some effort to improve atmosphere gets my backing. Not seen them claim to be hooligans anywhere though or be accused of being hooligans?

Why not just let them get on with it?

All the negative vibes seem to be from ol g.its jealous of young lads having a good time. Keep it up and enjoy yourself lads, its what being youngs all about. And dont listen to grumpy ol men.

I hate this continued reference to prawn sandwiches.

FFS it was one comment, by Roy Keane about 10 years ago, yet football fans, with their lack of imagination still refer to it as though it was the cornerstone of an inaugeration speech by an incoming US President.

Can't we call posh fans something else? For a start, prawns are not kosher or halal, so you are excluding many posher fans from the generalisation. Plus some may be vegetarian or allergic, or simply prefer brie and cranberry.

Let's bury the prawn sandwich cliché once and for all, please. For the decency of the game.

    It aint necessarily so.

Agreed. Anyway wasn't he was talking about the guests in corporate boxes not the fans who buy season tickets?

thanks for the (fairly) positive feedback so far. And it isnt a bunch of 12 year olds trying to be hoolies. We don't want to be associated with that image and 'bunch of spotty teenagers' etc. I know that we will probably have to win over a fair few fans.
