I wouldn't mind Stead but he'd probably be on at least £10K a week. Also I'd say Spurs wouldn't be a bad place to go for Wickham at the moment.
I don't. Purely based on the fact that Spurs has proved to be a graveyard for the careers of many a talented young footballer in recent seasons. I guess he might get into the squad for the odd Cup game though. Stead hasn't got enough pace and would be too similar to what we already have and as you say, his wage demands would be too high

However it is believed watford are open to bids around the £2 million mark. Blackpools out of favour Paul Rachubka is thought to be his replacement on a £50,000 deal

I heard a rumour about the possibility that all rumours regarding WFC signing any players in the close season should be dismissed as just a rumour. Something about us not having a pot to pish in.
I hate to say it but the Gary Doherty rumour is very true, we tried for him already once last year when he looked set to be released by Norwich. Just hope we decide that the youngsters we have in Bennet and Oshudi are just as good options!
So another Scot, a L1 defender and a NI Prem forward? It's just regurgitation of previous rumours. We were rumoured to sign Dorman when we got Mcginn. Mkandawire has been rumoured coming to us for ages and the Liam Boyce rumour has been doing the round for a while now. I bet there's no truth in any of it.
Wow, you really don't get that Watford aren't going to be getting Premier League players every summer, do you... It's called working on a budget. With the amount of money available, the sort of players mentioned will be good signings.
Are you sure you quoted the right message? If so, did you read my post? If you did - you missed my point. The point was that the rumours in question were recycling of previous rumours. The point was that anyone could have written those rumours. I really DO get that we aren't getting PrL players. In fact I doubt we'll get much at all this summer as we were skint before the news of cutbacks due to poor ST sales. I'd LOVE if we brought in a Scot, a L1 defender and a NI forward. It is more than I expect.
think you missed his point. unfortunately i believe we will be relying on loanees and freebies if anything this year. i wouldnt say the season ticket sales were poor, they were really what was expected.
