Summer Werewolf II - Day 2

It was a rhetorical question. It began yesterday after the wolf posted the 2nd message.

 

What are your thoughts on the game so far then? The only element of "mob mentality" I've seen was when everyone followed you and voted off Ybotcoombes. As I said yesterday, I understand why you voted that way but not why so many others were so quick to follow when there were still hours left in the day.

 

Heroic effort from Moog, taking out our first wolf. The good die young. RIP.

Fond farewell to brothers in arms Ashdown and Mike.

So we re already doing better than last game and DR in the hot seat again with a message that was confirmed correct the day before in calling Ashdown good.

Was it Ashdown that was calling out Diamond yestarday ?

 

I'd be inclined to agree, but the only catch for me is the punctuation is identical to the now very likely Seer's message in the first 2 sentences. Finding 2 Evil back to back isn't impossible but they are some long odds.

 

I agree with others, this message looks a bit wolfy. And just like yesterday, the message came in about 20 minutes after a rare message from Steve Harrow. If this message wasn't from the seer, then I strongly suggest the seer looks at Steve Harrow.

 

It's not identical, there are several differences after those first two sentences.

Also, what do you mean about finding 2 Evil back to back? I don't understand, both messages yesterday declared people good? Sorry if I'm being dense but don't get what your point is.

Interesting that Day 1 message 1 and day 2 message 1 both use the word everybody. Slightly clutching at straws but at this stage we have so little to go on.

Although Im slightly hesistant to call out DR after the disasters of last game from team good, it will be interesting to see how the next message plays out.

See BRLR post. Finding 2 Evil was related to Moog killing Wolf 1, not the message itself.

 

wow we ve defo got another evil tonight , this is going too well. SLB or DR. Poor old DR has got to fight for his life again.

Oh unless one is the tinker, surely we cant be that unlucky again after the DR CTH mix up last game

I hope you're not insuating the message therefore is correct because it references a message from yesterday?

 

Thank goodness for the other message. As I said last time... whoever you vote for tonight, make sure you go for the other one the next day if they are proven good. More likely than not you'll find EVIL and if not the tinker is out of the game.

 

Look at the way the messages are set out:

Day One, Message 1 - all one paragraph, capitalises that Ashdownwfc is GOOD. Day Two, Message 1 - all one paragraph capitalises that Daft Row is EVIL.

Day One, Message 2 - three separate paragraphs, good in lower case. Day two, Message 2 - four separate paragraphs, evil in lower case.

Both of the first messages are from the same person, both of the second messages are from the same person. Otherwise what are the chances that both the seer and the wolf would copy each other's style overnight? Why would the Seer even do that? Initially I called the first message today as from a Wolf, now I know it's from the Seer (so apologies to them!).

I wanted to see whether anyone stood out more than another before viewing today. It is such pot luck. Went for Diamond and they are good.

I am going to try and mix up the style of writing to avoid the wolf copying me in the next few days.

Ok everybody, I know the first day is difficult. People need to remember that shouting accusations about doesn't help anybody at this stage. Today I decided to view DAFT ROW he is EVIL. I also viewed Ashdon yesterday, he is Good.

Day 2, Anon Msg 2:

Morning villagers

A mixed night last night. But fortune today as I viewed Steve Leo Beleck and he is evil!

Ashdon was viewed as good by me yesterday. Shame that the wolf jumped at that knowledge.

I do not know if Diamond is good or bad as I did not view them.

 

Fair point, it could be a double bluff from wolf but you think if that was the case wouldn't have the seer said something about it in their 2nd message to day ?

 

1. What are the chances of wolf copying Seer overnight?

Quite high I'd suggest...

2. Both Wolf messages are from same person.

Not necessarily true as we may have lost the Alpha last night.

I believe as a Wolf or Traitor you are delibrately spreading confusion as you feel under pressure. If you or I are the Tinker I apologise. I (once again...) ask our villagers to look at the cold facts, see this as a 50/50 and if you don't find Evil tonight you go for the other tomorrow.

 

Alpha is dead. The wolf's message from today is from a new Alpha.

BTW, thanks to the Guardian last night. It was a nice thought to protect me, but you let Ashdon die, IDIOT.

 

Martyr apparently can only kill the alpha according to the others. Will check the rules for this game but going by the old rules then Norway was the Alpha.

 

Actually the rules are non-specific on it only being the alpha?! So guess it may not have been. Are we allowed clarification?

 

All I can clarify is that I changed the rules regarding the martyr for this game.

Mainly for my own entertainment

 

Just read through SLBs summary and it seems to be very forthright about something that is mainly speculation at this stage, plus saying he is not the tinker seems deliberately confusing.

One is defo evil out of DR and SLB ( unless we have the unlikely scenario that one is the tinker and the other one just happened to be the wolf lucking out and calling a good EVIL, as it's unlikely he knows who's who so early in the game.)

Too early to make any logical factual analysis, either tonight or tomorrow we'll have another EVIl. 2 down so early would be a great start .

I don't think I have the heart to lynch DR again fml.

 

Will have to look more thoroughly later as a bit busy at work, but gut reaction says the second message is from the seer.

 

Lets face it, its going to be 50/50 between Daft Row and SLB tonight.

Get evil then we are well ahead of the game
Get good today and evil tomorrow then its a kick in the nuts but we are still in a good position
If we get the tinker situation, the same as the last game, then this village is about as lucky as Mid-Summer

You missed something out. Of course the Wolf could change their style to copy the Seer... but why would the Seer change their style to copy the wolf? As I outlined earlier, there are two clear style of messages. Even if the alpha died, and the new wolf decided to copy the Seer, why would the Seer then switch to the Wolf's style from the previous day? Logically, that makes no sense.

I have no idea if you're the Tinker. I know I'm not.
