Yep, my betting is Watford, although I wouldn't rule out Udinese or Granada.

 

I wouldn't bet against Badu still coming in now that Stambouli looks to be off to PSG. Oh and Immers.

 

I agree, that's probably enough now, any more could cause ructions in the squad at this stage and create a negative effect. The season starts 24 days before the transfer window closes, if during that time it becomes apparent we need any extra then that would be the time to conclude our inbound activity.

 

Hopefully this will be tied up quickly.

My only concern is that the size of the squad is rapidly increasing and we will end up with disgruntled players who can't even get on the bench. We need to get the likes of Dyer, McGugan, Parades, Layun, Murray and Fabbrini either sold or out on long term loan.

Looks smashing. No doubt he'll be played in the AML position so we can pass it to the Dutchie on the left hand side.

 

I would be very very surprised if we got rid of Layun, (and probably Paredes) the value of having an incredibly popular Mexican international for the 'Global brand' is huge, shirt sales, tv viewing figures etc. Even if he doesn't play that much, I'd imagine he'll get kept around.

Him and Gueds hopefully should be it, with a few departing players (Goo, Fabbs [Who I rate but at this point doesn't seem to be rated by Flores], and a few players on season loans) will make this a very good transfer window.

Dyer as a winger would be OK. Homegrown adds value as well, in an increasingly diverse squad.

 

Worth noting this is by far the most typical Pozzo signing I think so far for Watford: good, young player bought fairly cheaply with good potential which was only reported when near enough done keeping some clubs out the picture.

 

Yeah, Id keep Dyer as a back up winger. Not to start, but could be effective coming off the bench.

I feel hes been treated harshly by our fans especially by the Twitter based fans who seem to enjoy hating players more than supporting their team. Like Deeney said, its better to have players who are unhappy at not being played than those content to sit on the bench and pick up a pay cheque.

 

Also was rated 5th in ranking for whole Dutch league (for attacking midfielders and wingers)

Yep. I think that's it as well with regards to wingers. Berghuis, Anya, Dyer, Fessi (if needs be) and Lewis (who I have a sneaky feeling may get 1/2 games). Not bad at all

 

Personally I'd rather go for that Afas bloke, he seems pretty clinical.

 

Forget his attitude, he's not good enough.

Why the **** do people want Dyer?! Even if he was the nicest person in the world, he was **** as a 31 year old winger in the Championship, I don't really fancy him as a 32 year old winger in the Premiership. Some of our current players are really being overrated, no way would fessi, dyer or anya be good enough as a starting winger in the Premiership, and dennon lewis?! Jesus. We still need 2-3 more signings for safety.

Personally think Dennon Lewis could potentially be a surprise inclusion for a few games this season. Although that's just based on the little I've seen of him for the youth team, and the length of contract given to him.

 

Totally agree, Dyer, Anya no way good enough to start in Premier League this season, we need 3 more in attacking positions just to stay in the league let alone compete. People are deluded or riddled with sentiment if you think these type of players in our squad are enough to keep us up then think again. And whilst I'm on the point of sentiment if Deeney doesn't hit the ground running in the top flight don't be surprised to see him on the bench. He's a legend and all that but that doesn't win you points.
