I'm pretty sure it's just a case of his agent talking to some friendly media trying to drum up a bit of interest in his client and that there is no interest whatsoever from Watford. There is surely enough evidence to confirm that if Premier League teams keep signing 30-somethings from the Championship they end up there soon enough. We need considerably better than this – we need the central defensive equivalent of 2015 Capoue times two.

AL just tweeted Steve Cook is having a medical with Forest tomorrow. I must admit, I got cold sweats when I saw a tweet from AL about Cook, but relieve it wasn’t a Watford related tweet.
Hopefully the situation at Forest has improved to the extent that Harry Arter will now recommend Gosling move there!

My sources have confirmed that your sources are correct. The deal for Cook to come here fell through late on Friday night as he only wanted a three year deal yet Gino wanted him on a six year deal. A compromise couldn't be found and now he's off to Forest.

FFS what training programme is Danny Rose on now? At least he's lost a bit of weight and can anticipate re-joining the 1st team group in the near future. Perhaps a run-out in the Leicester Cup game would be a good idea and he should then be fighting fit for the Magpies?
