What? I'm not upset, just genuinely curious as to how it went from done deal to nothing, a week later.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/13408203.Stambouli_deal_almost_done/ Almost done according to the Wobby.
Stambouli deal described as being 'almost over the line'! (don't worry..we get goaline technology too now we're in the Prem!!)
One of the wobbly journos spoke to Capoue after the game and asked him about Stambouli joining Watford and Capoue gave the journo a "wry smile" and walked off.

A bit like my girlfriend who has total recall of every word I've ever said & is able to instantly point out to me any tiny inconsistencies.
Remember he's only made 4 league starts since his move from Montpellier, where he was excellent. Think he'd be a great signing, and would compliment Capoue well.
Very impressive highlights video. Can see why Tottenham signed him in the first place. Could be an awesome signing for us
He certainly has some passion in him. Perfect foil for Capoue's laid-back nonchalance. Looking forward to their good cop/bad cop routine.
Looks like he doesn't mind getting forward either. If he and Capoue get an understanding together then that could be an awesome partnership in midfield.
By the same token, could when we were playing a diamond last season be considered a quadruple pivot? Why when we go up do we drop to a double pivot? More TV money should mean more pivots. Pozzos out.
Mirror are suggesting that the medical is all that needs to be done. Hopefully tomorrow morning, then announce it and get him on the plane to Germany with the rest of the squad.
Only a 3-year contract for a 24 year old? Surprising. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...m-midfielder-benjamin-stambouli-seal-6054890?
Usually Pozzo wants the security of a long-term deal for players that have a decent potential sell-on. If we've settled for a 3-year, we must really want him.
Simon Johnson from Standard Sport reckons the move could be off. Player having second thoughts. ****. https://twitter.com/sjstandardsport/status/620534687459581952
Similar to Doubmia and Perotti, if hes having "second thoughts" at this stage then i'd rather we just didn't bother with him
Stambouli is just being coy and wants Gino to chase him around for a bit He wants it, he really wants it
This bloke reckons Stam deal will be done in next 48 hours. Would like him to sign but Behrami and Capoue is pretty decent alternative https://twitter.com/MBS_Sport?origi...tw_p=embeddedtimeline&tw_w=357087017366077441
