Very disappointed with Dyche getting the tin-tack. But he can certainly leave with his head held high and should easily find another position.

From my position, where I only see what is in the media, he came across as everything I would look for in a Manager of a team, where getting the best out of what you have got is more important than who you can bring in from the top tiers. I sense that if any players didn't like him, then it was probably due to there own poor attitude, rather than Dyche's poor management.

Let's hope that the Pozzo's way of achieving their vision for the club, works.

Originally felt it was the Pozzos choice, but as the week progressed it niggled away and made me realise his sacking is totally unjust. It really is, as others have said, our loss and another clubs massive gain.

Still, 3 losses on the bounce no matter where we were in the league he'd have probably been sacked.

    Step up Gianfranco

Usually managers leave with their tails between their legs in humiliation, or do the walk of shame over to another club house...

Sean Dyche can leave knowing he did what he was paid to do, with few resources, embattled in the front office, and with the looming prospect of some his best players not being around much longer. It is the silver lining of an odd sort of Deus Ex Machina ending to his time at Watford, but he can take pride in what he's accomplished here.

Thanks ginge and good luck for the future. You're not Mourinho like some on here seem to think but you'll be fine and with a tasty pay off

Good luck Sean Dyche. You served Watford FC with distinction as a player, coach and manager. All the very best in your next job - which can't be far away, surely.

Wherever he goes I wish him every success, top bloke and one to watch for the future. I'd love to see the reception he would get coming back here with a new club.

Dyche leaves with his head held high, and in the knowledge that he'll always be guaranteed a good reception from Watford fans.

    Thank you, Sean.

My first post here, but to put on record my appreciation for Dyce for his tenure.Miracles perform with what he had, set against so unsettling times. It doesn't bare thinking about had we gone down, but the only thing gone down last season, is basically Sean Dyce in the Watford history books as a true achiever, with a stack of potential.Sorry he has gone, but there is another chapter being written for Watford FC I feel

Most of you assume he will get a good reception here? are you having a laugh with the amount of ***** that support watford... Just look at the cardiff game where cowie got boo'd all game! That was a disgrace! He put in 2 and a half years of quality performances and was loved here... Just saying

Cowie jumped ship, Sean was sacked. There is a clear difference here although I personally didn't condone the reaction Cowie got.

I don't remember Sean's agent exploiting an ambiguity in the wording of the automatic extension option clause in his contract to get himself a Bosman and a big pay rise?

I am disappointed for SD, but a new manager was almost inevitable with such a fundamental change of direction for the club.

However, don't forget that our recent history suggests that one of two things was going to happen in the next 18 months (without a change of ownership):

    1) SD suffers from a poor second season and gets sacked when the following season begins poorly as well (smiliar to AB)
    2) SD keeps WFC punching above their weight for the next season, and then gets an offer he can't refuse (BR, MM)

I completely agree with his sentiments, you missed out the rest, "It’s about pride, affection and emotion. It’s about liking your club.".

So do you believe football is just about winning? and if so, why support Watford? Genuine questions.

Its pretty fair to think everyone will sorry for Dyche but also know this sort of thing happens in modern day football when new owners come in.

We have yo move on and support the new owners/Zola...

Football seems more and more about making money and less about winning, affection, emotion and liking the club. It's been done so crassly and seemingly without any vision other than ~fill up the bank vaults~ with a few sacks of short term gains. Not sustainably, not skillfully. Yes, the football has been great at times, but rarely do you find a satisfying team and a smart profitable business behind it.

I'm not trying to polish teacher's apple, and the proof is in the pudding, if I may mix two metaphors that are actually making me hungry, but I really appreciate the approach the new owners have taken at making money in Granada and Udine. I respect it, at least. I really hope it works the same way here at WFC.

Saw Sean on Sky sports this morning and felt sad that he had gone, but feel now he would be well out of his depth with whats been going on in the last few weeks. Think now we have moved up a few gears and think things won't be the same which gives me mixed feelings, quite liked being the underdog. Don't want that feeling where i expect us to win every week cos then you would become like a Man U supporter who i pity a little, it's nice to have that bit of edge on the other hand I saw the great days of the seventies and eighties and would like my sons to see the same

I just hope people don't expect us to turn up each week and win...don't think it will be like that for a whille anyway.

Afterall teams would have learnt from how Ipswich and Birmingham played us and the contrasting results.

Sorry, I'm tired of being the 'plucky underdog' , I'm tired of being referred to as 'Debt ridden Watford'.

I want to compete and expectations are higher but that's when you excel, you need to push yourself then you will taste success.

This is the new Watford, embrace it or get left behind in the comfort of mediocrity.

in da premiershyte you will still be lil ol wfc -Elton John will still be fort of as your ****y chairperson and you will still be the family club singing

'clap ur hand's stamp ur feet blah blah blah...

in da championship the other clubs fans will moan and groan it aint fair, if wfc do well and other managers etc will bemoan the loan rulings - at this point the wfc fanbase will most likely unite as a whole and start accepting the the possibilty that wfc are on the move upwards...
    feck em all...

let wfc have some glory and enjoy it.

Amazing, some of these posts - they scream "I want us to be crap most of the time with a shot at the big time now and then"

Financially stable, part of a winning group with football at the very heart of the present and future. You couldn't make it up, I ditched my season ticket because I was SICK of seeing crap week in and week out. I'm not saying I expect to see us win every week, but I want to see us compete - as much as I hate them, West Brom - A team that competes at our level and you'd much prefer us on the brink of administration, 19th in the Championship having beaten a Wigan and Man Utd at home in the league and FA Cup respectively .......what a joke.
