Said in last nights Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph, that Dyche has turned down the opportunity to join Kettering Town. Apparently he has chosen to join Watford as the Under 18's coach.
Why am I not surprised that there is nothing on the Watford boards about this.
If only we could sign players as easily as we sign coaches.

    I liked him.

Big ginger bloke storming about was always a good thing to have.

Glad he'll be back for a while.

He sat in the row behind me last week at MK, top bloke. I take it he has done all his coaching badges etc whilst at Northampton as I can't remember him doing them whilst here. With the exception of our assistant manager, we will have one of the youngest coaching/managment teams in the country.

A shame that he lacked pace because defensively he read the game very well!

A good player and tough as ****.

Good to have him on board...think he'll make a good coach!

If this is true I am well pleased as I really rated as a player and a leader when he played for us

Surely he can still play for us? He's about the same age as some of our other centre halves.

like the time at the f.a cup semi final v soton, when they read his name out as shaun dike.:]]

and another memory of mine is him having a really late chance to win the game, ball falls on the volley and he skies it, then just sprints back:]] good times!

Sean Dyche will be appointed as Malky Mackay's assistant manager, the Watford Observer understands.

The Hornets boss is expected to unveil his backroom team early next week and the Academy coach will effectively revert to the role he carried out when Mackay took charge following Aidy Boothroyd's departure last year.

Sources have told this newspaper that Alec Chamberlain will also have a role to play, although it is not known whether his duties will extend beyond his current goalkeeping coaching responsibilities, while a "fresh face" will be appointed as first team coach.

Confirmation of Mackay's backroom team may also coincide with an announcement regarding the restructuring of the football operation at Vicarage Road, with the Academy and player recruitment expected to no longer be the manager's direct responsibility.

A new head of medical and fitness coach also need to be appointed following the departures of Andy Rolls and Karl Halabi respectively.

It is true what he says, Rasiak and Cork were an advantage to have at the club last season, and gave us more options, and as they were quality players, they will be difficult to replace.

    We want Sean Dyche!

I think that would be the best appointment. Not Laws, Jones, Robins or the other cack associated with our job.

Would be 100% behind that appointment. Up yours Malky.

I really wouldn't know what to think. Fair enough he's been number 2 for ages and has been there along with the managers, I'd just prefer someone who actually has experience.
No doubt, as a temp appointment, I wouldn't be unhappy.

He wouldn't be my choice but I would put him well ahead of Laws. We need someone to continue the good work of the academy and the likes of Laws and Hoofers would ruin it.
