I suspect all Vince wanted as a courtesy call which I don't think was unreasonable. Sounds like he asked Edwards, who denied it, and then made him look silly with last night's tweet immediately blowing up on him.

I saw the interview with Dale Vince. He seemed philosophical about it, but is clearly angry, as he has every right to be because Watford approached Edwards behind their back. He said had Watford gone through proper channels and spoke to them first, then it would have been fine. They would have allowed Watford to talk to him. He said he called Edwards on the phone last night and it became very clear all the speculation was true. He said Edwards apologised to him, but also said that Watford explicitly told him not to say anything. I think it's probably a case of Watford being out of order, tapping up a coach, and Edwards being ambitious, didn't want to mess up his big opportunity.

 

You don't think he's a good appointment ? I think a promising young english manager from a lower league is just the sort of chnage we need to make. Hopefully uplifting in the way Munoz was, but with some tactical awareness too.

I don’t know enough about him to decide on whether he’s a good appointment, hence why I asked. But considering I, and most of the intelligent and honest supporters amongst our fanbase, had never heard of him before this, I think calling him a nobody is fair.

What if we wanted to speak to 5 managers currently in jobs to make our decision - we de-stabilize 4 managers/clubs/owners unnecessarily.
