Apparently Mourinho was satisfied he would get minutes. Clearly the club is as worried as we are about Behrami's ability to pick up cards.

 

Well, if we play regularly with 2 DM and Aké is their natural sub on the bench, the club probably said to Mou they cannot "guarantee" minutes of playing but, either for injuries or bans, those are quite likely to happen.

Agreed completely.

His ability to also play at left back means we have one player who can cover two positions for injuries, giving us more versatility in attacking positions.

I think that Pudil will definitely leave the club now.

 

I just hope Jose approves of our medical staff, if he is trusting Ake to us for the season.

He has been with Chelsea since he was 15 so qualifies as home grown, therefore does not have to take a place in the squad of 25 to play! However will he need to be named in the 25 to make up our homegrown quota? I hope not!

Great signing either way, as he is very versatile, and can play LB or DMF apparently!

 

The list of 25 doesn't include the U21, who are outside it.
If the club deems to have a complete and competitive team, there's no need to fill at all costs all the 8 over21-home-grown slots.

 

I personally think he agreed to join us after seeing his name on this forum, when he clicked on the thread, he saw the hilarious jokes that were being posted and said "yes" this is the club for me, they have awesome fans. So I think everyone should thank us for the jokes, because if it wasn't for them, he wouldn't have joined us. So on behalf of all the comedians on this forum, your welcome!

I think that's the clincher right there.

We "know" from media reports that Chelsea want appearance guarantees. That means Pudil is almost certainly not going to be involved.

 

According to WD Sport, there's no appearance requirement or loan fee involved. Chelsea may normally put them in but this time they'be been Pozzo'd!
