A long time in the distant past, Admin#1 use to use some of the add money to do player sponsorship. Myself, Cude, PYA and wfchornet (I think?) all met up with Admin and then we got to go to the end of season players dinner, sitting with Martin Taylor and the highly rated lad we got from M'boro who ended up never playing and going into non-league. It was a great night and PYA was a certainly a character, glad to see he still around! I have not really posted much in the last few years, couldn't stand the politics forum taking over a football site
I also came over from the official forum when this place was set-up, though I didn't post too much on it and can't remember whether I had the same username or not.
Wiv da angles ! Yes he was pretty unique and good fun with his unique style. I got close to finding out who he was through LinkedIn once. If fact just the other day I was doing some internet searches based on the limited info I knew but drew a blank. I’d like to know when he is/was but data protection I’m sure would prevent the mods/ admin giving an email address etc !

RD was clearly a marketing director but couldn’t track him down. I knew I’d got close as when I told him, he posted something like “Wow, internet life invading real life”.

I thought he liked what I thought was a needlessly negative post from someone following the FA Cup final (in fact he was right in that we did end up being relegated and playing Luton), which seemed somewhat out of character. I then realized I'd misread it and it was RookeryLad who liked it. I don't think the two are related though...
Well on the basis “RookeryDad” has liked this post and seems to be the same as the original account, I guess “he lives”. Sent him a PM to ask why the hiatus.
Ahh that’s good news - I was a bit worried about his sudden disappearance. Another one is Sherlock - haven’t seen anything from him for a while and he was also a level headed poster.
There’s a politics section on this forum? Haha - that must be full of level headed pragmatism and even handed, fact filled logical discourse that doesn’t denigrate or resort to extremism or personal insults
To be fair, it’s very easy to avoid it. Posts don’t show on the “new posts” tab automatically. I very rarely go on the Politics section as it’s not my bag.
Was that Nov 2006 when Rivals shut down and various of us migrated to here from BWL, having decided "GloryHorns" was just too wrong on every level? I know such as Liz, RTC, Snorebens came over as well, but few continue to post.
