Well its not good enough, no offence he cant run, barely can head a ball, and may do a magical touch on a ball every 10 games, hardly good is he.
Do yourself a favour; next time you're at a game make sure you look towards the pitch then maybe you'll have a clue what you are talking about. Over the last month Iwelumo, Hogg and Nosworthy have easily been our best players and without them three (especially Iwelumo) there is absolutely no way that we would have beaten Peterborough or Brighton. You'd have to be pretty simple not to be able to recognise and acknowledge how immense Iwelumo has been in the past few games.
Ok, here goes. Going to try and reply without losing it. If Sordell went to Norwich or even Swansea do you think he'd play every week? No. He wouldn't start for any team. I for one hope he leaves in January, Emu has offered more this season and thats saying something. Sordell is lazy and saves his best for England. As someone else said, Massey will be better. Has had a good loan spell at Yeovil and scored more goals than Sordell did at Tranmere. The most disappointing thing about sordell is the difference when he plays for England. For Watford he is static, barely moves, doesn't look interested. Yet for England, he is ambitious and always wants the ball, moves all the time and looks for every opportunity. He benefited hugely last year when DG did all the work and this year, when Emu has played well so has sordell. If we get a big offer in January, i'd be more than happy to sell. Could be a great player, but he is clearly not interested at Watford. As for the Cowie comment, you are correct in the sense that he put in a good ball. But i'm sorry, when Yates puts in a quality ball there is no stopping it. Yates produces a better cross than Cowie for sure, i'd just like to see him bet his man more.
I just wish Yeates and Big Chris could look like they have the ability to run quicker because then they would be very useful players. Yeates can cross a ball but mainly from set plays only. Iwelumo is 32 year old..not a kid so I think people expecting bigger and better performances from him straight away compared to other signings. Dyche didn't help the guy by playing him half fit and then not at all for a whille once he was fully 100% Have to disagree with JB when he says CI runs himself into the ground as I don't actually think he can do that but it doesn't mean the effort isn't there.
I think it's fair. judging a player on one game, is really the best way to decide if he can cut it or not. I personally thought that Ronaldo was a pretty decent player, but after his last performance , I will be surprised if he gets a game again.
He worked his bo11ocks off yesterday, and was unlucky not to score, I don't know if this is a wind up, or you were not there watching the game but either way you couldn't be more wrong.
Don't worry about him; he's the same guy who organised a Dyche Out campaign on Facebook and used a girl who couldn't have been over six years old to pose with a Dyche Out sign for the display picture of said group.
Saturdays goal brings Marvin to 10 goals in all competitions Equal with £3m rated 'best striker in the league'™ Billy Sharp. Not bad for an 'overrated lazy prima donna' :sign15:
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/watford-fc/startseite/verein_1010.html Anyone get anything better or more up to date than this? Edit: Oh that's straight forward (an MLA based upon 9 independent variables): http://www.arsenalreview.co.uk/2009...all-transfer-value-fee-kaka-ronaldo-adebayor/
Has he ever been called "overrated" ? I've seen him called Lazy. As far as the "rated" price tag goes, his only ever worth what someone will pay for him. Whether that be £500k or £5m
Watford striker Chris Iwelumo admits the club may struggle to retain the services of promising forward Marvin Sordell. The 20-year-old is already reported to be attracting Premier League interest, with talk of £5million bids doing the rounds. Blackburn Rovers are among those said to be keen, with the top-flight strugglers in the market for added creativity and goal threat. Sordell has fallen under numerous other radars, though, with it difficult to keep a player of his potential out of the spotlight. Iwelumo concedes as much, with the much-travelled frontman of the opinion that his young colleague could be on his way out of Vicarage Road in the near future. "I've played with some great strikers and Marvin is up there," he said. "He's got everything at such a young age and is only going to get better. "We'll have a job to keep him but that's always the case with good players. "We've a few here who have been performing really well and there's a few eyes on them." On the speculation, Watford boss Sean Dyche added: "It's positive to have people looking at your players, it means they are taking Watford seriously."
Well done Lazy Princess Marv for single handedly dominating two International centre backs tonight! Should add a million or two to his value
He was fantastic tonight, if only he could have capped his performance with a goal. I read somewhere that he is rated at £8million prior to the game, with that performance he has got to be hitting £10million.
Nah his all round game is 'cack'. Sell to the lowest possible bidder by the end of January please Dychey.
He played well tonight, but on one occasion in the 1st half he decided to shoot when there was a much better placed player (Prince or Deeny I think) just to his left totally unmarked, I thought you greedy **** at the time!!!
Strikers instinct....it's in their nature to be selfish that's what allows them to score some of the goals that make you say "how the fugg did he score from there" The boy played his socks off last night and I really hope this puts an end to the myth that he is lazy.
Both Marv and Prince had shots when it might of been better to get their heads up and pass last night but no complaints about the overall perfomance.
He had a good game, lead the line well. It was a top all round performance from everyone and Murray was fantastic.
Spoke to someone who sat in the Lower Rous last night who told me the people behind them were abusing Marv all game :dismay:.
Marv had a good game. He just has the same drawback any young striker does - crap decision making. His main failure yesterday was constantly choosing the wrong option. He would cross when he should shoot and shoot when he should cross. He needs to be a bit more direct and stop faffing about so much. Overall though I thought he did really well against one of the top English defences. When the ball was played into him he tried to use it intelligently and never panicked. Well done Marv.
