Mackay didn't motivate Sordell, he ended up dropping him. Perhaps Graham motivated Marv a bit more?

Heads gone since u21 involvement like Loach seems to after being in full England set up!

I wouldn't be surprised if Sordells agent hasnt already negotiated a move this Xmas to a side he thinks is more befitting of him.

Agree with all LBH says about Sordell.

Rather play Gavin Massey, Sean Murray or Connor Smith.

He'll go to a club going places like Southampton in January. He doesn't seem to give a crap at the moment but then again he probably sees all these players in the U21s and realises what crap he has to deal with on a every day basis and thinks why bother. That isn't the attitude to be but I can see why he is probably thinking it, he is binding his time before he can move on and it will suit the club as his replacement Garner is sitting on the sidelines waiting already.

The good thing is, clubs rate him and the England performances show he can do it and how good he actually is.

Yet again he puts in a performance for England, he looks sharper, he does not look lazy, he puts in a lot of effort, and please don't tell me it's because he is with better players, because his whole demeanour is different, you can see he actually tries for England, but he does not for WFC, why ???

Don't forget he is playing against more experienced defender's week in week out, whereas at U21 he is playing against less experienced defenders.

Never eh! What an astute comment

We really don't deserve good young players like Sordell with the fans we have.

two ridiculous comments. marv does the best he can for a team of our standing, i watch his football carefully and he does chase down balls especially in the first 60 minutes, but when the ball is getting lumped up and past him over and over again there is not a lot he can do. like Mr Faboulous says, he could be the best player in the world and he would struggle with some of the **** we play.

Do you mean against a defender because I've seen Marv score 3/4 very good headed goals.

Hahaha Prentice we played 4-2-3-1, Ameobi replaced the injured Delfouneso and, like Delfouneso, played on the left, with AOC on the right, Marv was lone ST.

Marv is a superbly talentented player, but he can't do it on his own. We're very lucky to have him

    IMHO

They were playing off of him, wasn't a 4-4-2 I'm afraid. He was regularly called the 'lone striker' throughout.

Sordell is pure talent, hes to good for us and i feel that were stunting his growth, we arent making him at his full potential i personally feel he needs to leave, we have no other bit of qualitt in our team who can supply a ball let alone pass it to his feet , if i was sordell id be getting so pissed id hand a transfer request in. As people can see hes a completly different player in the under 21's.....

Good idea, let's give him a free transfer so he can fulfil his potential...

It's true. The only way Harefield could be classed as a success, is if we let Marv go elsewhere to fulfill his potential. Players with 'pure talent' are no good for us. In fact, the quicker we rid ourselves of talented youngsters and replace them with experienced (over the hill) players, journeymen (players that nobody else wants) and 'real men' who have more of a physical presence (**** footballers), the better.

    Good logic.

How? sordell has not performed in this team this year. Last season he was on fire with a good striking partner and good football. We had the best player in the championship being cowie who could supply a ball i can't see forsyth or yeates doing the same job, We end up hoofing the ball which sordell will never ever win, iwelumo is a lazy ****. We have nothing for him. He is absolute class in u21's cause he has decent players around him? If i was sordell and didnt mind what football team i play for i'd hand in a transfer request. He is no where near filling his potential. Southampton will be a quality team for him.

I think he would do well at Swansea with Danny or alternatively at Norwich. The managers of both these clubs know what they are doing and would be able to get the best out of Marvin. Dyche has no idea how to build a team around Marvin or motivate him and his career is just going to go backwards if he stays much longer at Vicarage Road. Bazza will in any event want to maximise his investment and cash in on Marvin in January whilst he is showing his ability in the under 21's.

You really don't help yourself do you?

What a completely groundless and utterly moronic thing to say about a player that runs himself into the ground every single game.
