Marriapa to return to Watford

So players who make the bench and occasionally play for Premier League clubs aren't good enough for us but a guy who plays for Norwich is? I don't mind Bassong but I don't see your logic especially as he's probably on more money than both of those.

 

He knows the team , knows the management , plays weekly for Norwich who are at least as good as us , has experience of the league were trying to get to , at a club better than Palace or Leicester

In any event the WO is saying its not happening , so moot really

I know we don't like to think of our players going on to bigger and things once they've left us, but Mariappa has actually forged himself a decent Premier League career.

64 appearances in 2 and a half seasons doesn't show him to be a bit part reserve. I actually think he'd be a very good player at this level now. Think the Mariappa of 11/12, with a few more years of experience against top players. He'd fit right in, and I'm not sure why people would write him off as a cast-off.
