Apparently the 18 year old is having a medical today. Wass previously close to joining Man City in January but the deal fell through due to an apparent issue with his medical.

 

Amazing. I said we should look at him on the transfer suggestions thread!

Humbug, dig a little deeper and see he’s only 18 and the medical he failed was at Man City.

Scouts I know who have watched much more of him than I have think he's a fantastic player but are intrigued as to why he's signing for us. To go from a potential deal at City in January to Watford is a lot of clubs in the pecking order above us being put off by something.

 

He does a back flip celebration in his highlights video. It's a resounding yes from me.

 

Very confident, quick and in a very very poor Rochdale side. Whats not to like, may be one to loan out next year but he looks perfect for the wide forward role either side judging by that video.

 

Typical Pozzo signing his value will only get greater even if he is not ready for the PL yet, he'll probably be shipped off to some Spanish La Liga 2 team for a year or two and might never actually play for WFC.

 

Bit harsh there I think! He's only started 13 games, turned 18 in January and is playing for one of the worst sides in the league..

 

So he's not even been able to get in the side for one of the worst teams in the league ? It gets worse. Get rid.

Surprised he’s signed for us though. I always thought he’d be more appropriate for Derby County.

 

Considering he’s showboating at 18 in brutal lower league mens soccer I’m going to give this one a resounding thumbs up

 

He seems a very good prospect, but not sure how we'll be in a position to offer him many minutes next season (unless he's mainly just used in the cups initially)?

Also, shouldn't we not get too excited until he actually passes his medical with us?!

He's a very prodigious dribbler, with the second most dribbles per 90 and the third most successful dribbles per 90 in League One (behind Siriki Dembele and former Man City and England u20 winger Brandon Barker). Very impressive for age 18. Only two 18 year olds have played more minutes this season in League 1 and both are owned by very well-run PL sides: Haydon Roberts (CB) on loan at Rochdale from Brighton and Morgan Rogers on loan at Lincoln from Man City. Can't go wrong with this one, especially on a free. (Like Ben Wilmot, except with a lower fee,) The worst case scenario is that he doesn't too much on a couple of Championship/L1 loans and we sell him for a small profit.

I've got bad news about the medical. Apparently he's suffering from muscle imbaahlance.

 

What's not to like about this kind of signing? We can't just stop looking at younger prospects. From what I've read he seems a real decent find. Looks like they're after another youngster from Pompey Charlie Bell a midfielder who was on trial at Wet Spam.

 

Yep big fan of this. Can't say I've seen him play much but a mate who supports Rochdale loves him. The fact City offered a contract says enough, came through the same Palace academy as Hungbo so despite being a couple years younger there's a decent chance they'll have known each other. Glad we're looking at the EFL where there is so much talent.

 

Someone says that he's confident. see this when he was about 13.

 

I think Bell would be more for the u23s. Yet to make a senior appearance. Baah on the other hand has played a lot of senior football for an 18 year old. I suspect if he comes in, he'll head out to the Championship or L1 on loan.

 

Seems far too fast and tricky to be appreciated by Watford fans. Aren't there any 32 year old, honest, hard working defensive mids we can bring in instead?
