I’m quite happy to have people offering opinions different to mine, it’s just incredibly boring that every single thread on this place is now taken over by the same 5/6 posters, posting the exact same thing. Anyway, goodbye

It’s amazing that you can’t see how bizarrely ironic your post is, so you want the whole forum to high five you and slap you on the back for every post you make? You can see from the likes on your post there are plenty of people who agree with you, and there are plenty of people who don’t. That’s life, grow up and suck it up.

Looking forward to the same 5/6 posters decrying this, with the same 5/6 posters liking the decrying posts, proving your point perfectly without even realising.

Hardly given we are £200m in debt, have few playing asets and are being investigated or at risk of investigation on multiple fronts. I’d say a points deduction of some kind in next 3 years is better than 50/50 shot.

As always when it happens people will conveniently deny that they mocked my view.

Either that or they'll slap it on us at the start of next season so we start on -10 points or whatever it is. Unlike Derby, who did well to come back and almost stay up that season, we will probably struggle to get back into positive figures for a few weeks. Luton got docked 30pts that one time which basically relegated them from the Championship and they went down and down again. Now we have us looking downwards with a protential penalty charge, in a backward motion, while they have a chance of PL football. Swings and Round-a-bouts etc.

How so? You think if we sell a player for £10mil to Udinese and they later sell one to us for £10mil it doesn't effectively cancel out? You think we really received £16mil of new money for Kamara? You think it wouldn't be more beneficial if the club received £16mil for a player from a club outside the group than from another Pozzo club? You think Gino Pozzo won't inherit his father's money?

We do have a lot of debt but honestly it’s only the 3rd party debt we need to worry about.

Again, please point out where I said "it wasn't that bad" - I said specifically it clearly wasn't part of the worst consecutive seasons in our history.

You've mistakenly assumed what the logic was, because playing at the highest level possible is also vital - so it isn't necessarily the case that a promotion season to the PL is worse than a relegation season from the PL, because being promoted earns you the PL cash windfall for the following season, whereas getting relegated from the PL does not. I'd say though that finishing 17th in the PL is better than finishing 1st in the Championship, as in both cases you've ensured you're playing in the PL next season but in the former you have actually placed higher in the football pyramid.

Err, really? We've won 9 more games in this season than we did last season, but has it been "far more enjoyable"? It's been crap, and the standard of football is clearly worse. It's one thing getting beat 5-0 by Liverpool, it's another getting beat 4-0 by friggin Swansea. Imagine the same again but next time it's to Stevenage! Finishing outside the playoffs in League Two would be no achievement; the club could do it while caring even less than they do now.

The 30 point penalty for L*t*n was actually after they were relegated to Div 2. It effectively sent them out of the league.

I'd love to hear where you get the £200m figure from? Your magic 8 ball? Also, how do we have no assets or is that again your opinion because the P&L accounts say otherwise.

The club do have to account for lack of parachute payments next season so it will be interesting to see how this will happen. Presumably higher earners will be either released or sold.

Debt in football is pretty rife, especially within the PL.

I think league 1 is possible. Admin is also a real threat. Do I think I we will get a 25 point deduction? Not sure.
Perhaps you've misunderstood what a forum is?

Yes there were 3 of them deducted points that season I think..

Rotherham and Bournemouth lost 17 too.

Rotherham did pretty well under Mark Robins and the Cherries just stayed up.

Luton actually made a good fist of things it seems a

The £200m comes from the accounts you specifically mention. Debt plus transfer fees owed plus loans secured against transfer fees receivable. JP is gone. Who else’s are you selling to service this unless you are selling the ground? Kabasele?

You refer to the accounts showing the value of the assets, but surely you noticed the balance sheet is negative?

Quite amusing that Tut, WT, Knight and LR continually “like” each others posts but if it’s people with a different viewpoint it’s something to wail about.

It’s beyond me why people get upset about a forum containing people with different views to their own. I’ve had pelters on here for years on my anti Pozzo crusade and that’s fine.

Some people need to stop being so precious.

Saying we are have £x amount of debt is misleading as some are third party debts, some are owner related. If it is from Pozzo, then that will be paid off when he sells the club presumably or if he feels inclined to write it off. We aren't owned by an oil rich tycoon or nation (Saudi Arabia) with seemingly endless pockets so I doubt he'll write it off.

Also, your argument about Kabasele would be true if he was the only squad member which of course is not factual and he does hold some intangible value for now.

I'm fine with people having opinions but don't be surprised if you get called up on it. Also, if you're right about your prediction, I will be the first to say so but if you aren't I won't pick you up on it because I'm not a vindictive ass-wipe.

Pretty much every club in the championship and Pl have serious levels of debt - we are no different. Our £120m ish debt (excluding Pozzos money) will presumably be reduced with the Pedro money, parachute payments and other sales. We will have to get high earners off the books. We will rely on player sales going forward to service levels - and we can always throw in the odd Kayembe deal. Just don’t see what all the bed wetting is about the debt

I am obviously in a minority, but thought he was an OK performer at Championship level. Certainly we have had a lot worse in recent times. I doubt he was paid a lot in wages compared to many. So while the fee is welcome, I think it leaves a reasonable hole in the squad, which will require a decent replacement for next season.

    Yes that is quite right.

Obviously didn't like what he saw and felt he needed to come back and change things which typically he did.
