If it happens it happens, I can't be bothered to oppose it anymore. We need cover for Behrami and he's a similar type of player in that he goes around kicking people.
I find it hard to understand this, yes he made mistakes when he was younger but who hasn't? Including our current club captain.. When I have heard him speak in recent years he comes across like a decent bloke and campaigns on issues such as anti homophobia and anti racism. Why is it any different to Deeney making a dreadful mistake when he was younger?
Last time we played QPR away, Joey Barton was not only the best player and passer on the pitch, but engaged the Watford fans in humorous banter, seeing the funny side of the abuse he was getting because of his Croydon topknot. He's got past, sure, but he's got steel too and he's a pretty damned fine player when he wants to be. Give the guy a chance. If he accepts Pozzo era wages, then he's serious.
He's acted like a moron his whole career including last season. He doesn't learn. If we sign him we sign him, there's nothing I can do about it so I'm not going to waste my time worrying about it!

I've always quite liked him. He's not stupid (but not as clever as he thinks he is) and as cover for Behrami hopefully they can overlap between red cards.
As he's so outspoken and comes across as a **** with his strong views, it's easy to forget that he is actually a pretty good footballer. Personally I think he'd be a decent signing for us - certainly good enough as a third choice, home grown, loads of experience of the league etc. If he can stay lower profile as he kind of has the last few years, I don't see why he wouldn't be a good signing.

He was a good player 10 years ago. He will be 33 within a month. Do you really think he will happily sit on the bench supporting his team mates ? He will be moaning that he is better than them, criticising those in his place. He has caused problems in every dressing room, and that's when he's been in the team ! Do you think he'll be happy with TD as captain ? This would be a disaster waiting to happen. I can't believe Gino would be so stupid as to take the risk.
Joey Barton trains with club, doesn't sign and joins an opposing Premiership club - the Pozzo's aren't stupid enough to let that happen.
Hope it happens. Could do a lot worse. Best player for QPR by miles last season. He could make us tick in the middle of the park.

Comparing Deeney to Barton is just as stupid as when people compared Deeney to King. Troy made one awful mistake, held his hands up immediately, accepted responsibility and showed genuine remorse for his actions. The likes of King and Barton disgrace themselves time and time again - be it in or away from football - and always look to shift the blame and make excuses. Comparing them with Troy is insulting. Personally I believe this rumour is complete rubbish and stinks of Barton trying to put his name out there and get himself a new club as quickly as possible. However, if the club want to sign Barton he will sign and there's nothing anyone can do it about it so abusing him on social media or booing him will achieve nothing. He is undoubtedly a good player at this level but ultimately signing someone like Joey Barton will always end up in tears and I'd rather we looked elsewhere.
